Hi, excellent video, very easy to follow. BUT, on my new Huawei Nova 9, I have two problems: 1. In permissions, there is no "storage" only media and photos. There is "phone" and I found in "files" that "phone" is listed at the top. Does it mean that the new name for "storage" is "phone"? And if so, to which file must I extract the WhatsApp zip file? 2. When turning on WhatsApp, after input of telephone number and code, the app starts with message saying its does not work without Google services. What should I do at this point? Would appreciate your help.

1. I'm not sure if the permissions have changed on the Huawei phones. You could just enable all the permissions to try it out. All the other steps remain the same. 2. Did you download the WhatsApp app from the Huawei AppGallery?

Aha, the Petal Search actually links you back to a variety of different 3rd party hosts of APKs. It's best to use the Huawei AppGallery whenever possible. I understand that since many apps aren't available on the AppGallery, you'll have to use Petal Search. And that creates a lot of issues in terms of security and how to get timely updates. That is why I've not recommended Huawei phones for years now.

Same path. The Samsung default file manager is a little weird though. You might want to try another file manager instead

You can do the same process as shown here. It works both ways.

May I know how to make WhatsApp show restore by local file. Because my phone keep saying restore by Google Drive.

This does not work on the latest Whatsapp/Huawei. I am using the Huawei Nova 9 SE and whatsap 2.22 and have tried dozens of ways but there is no 'Restore from Backup' option.

You can use back the same steps of copying the files shown in this video. Just do it in reverse and it'll work.

That is an excellent question 🤔 I have no idea. I think you'll have to download the "Move to iOS" app but I think you'll have to get it from APK Mirror or aptoide.

Hey Roy, The Huawei Cloud does have limited capacity, just like Google Drive. There is 5GB for free, which is shared among your files, contacts, pictures, etc.

Great video Sir! Bravo! Before doing all the procedures in your video, did you swap your SIM card that is link to the WhatsApp in your old phone to your new Huawei Nova phone? The reason for WA to work in your new phone, it must read your SIM card with the existing phone number, isn’t it? Please correct me because I tried it on my new Huawei Nova phone too but no luck. You can manually type the phone number if you want to. For me, I moved the SIM card to my new phone before performing the WhatsApp migration.

Nope. You can use a Samsung phone as the intermediate phone since Samsung has a special feature to transfer WhatsApp history from iPhones.

Follow this guy really he assisted me just connect you old phone to computer then transfer to your WhatsApp folder to the computer so when you finish remove and connect your computer to new phone and transfer that WhatsApp file to new phone when it finish download WhatsApp into your new phone when you finish the important point is go to apps and select WhatsApp then click permission and select allow follow this video

Hey there! I'm glad this video can help you out in some ways. There's no native McDonald's app available, so the AppGallery redirects you to a web-wrapped version only. Technically, it's a browser. I'm rather unsure of how the whole thing works eh. Grab has officially stated that HMS is not working with their services so even somehow, some users got it working - it's on their own accord. Grab doesn't guarantee the reliability.

If you're moving between Huawei to Huawei device, then you can use Huawei Cloud. But if you're migrating from Huawei to non-Huawei devices or from a non-Huawei to a Huawei device, then follow the steps in this video.

If you manage to download all your WhatsApp backup from your HMS account then you can use the steps show. In this video to copy from a HMS phone to a GMS phone. It works both ways.

By default it's 5GB. But Huawei does give you free storage depending on what phone you're using. consumer.huawei.com/en/community/details/%E3%80%90Huawei%E3%80%91How-to-get-free-cloud-storage/topicId_80947/

You'll still need a phone that has Google support to perform this migration. There's no way to directly download from Google Drive.
