Starfield adds and changes so many things that even people experienced with previous versions of the CK, and before it the GECK, have to relearn most of everything XD.

Everyone is relearning CK right now. That said I would highly recommend Kinggath’s series on Skyrim/FO4 modding. It’s more than just some tutorials, it’s practically an online course in modding. He’s one of the head people of the Sim Settlements team and I’m hoping we see some Starfield stuff from him soon

Hey! Thank you for the video. Just wanted to add something because it was driving me crazy. There were some objects like the Space Junk that I wanted to make static, but couldn't with the "Non-Interactive" option. I made a duplicate of it so it didn't make the default one static. Then, I went to it in the Object Window -> right click -> edit -> check the "instanced static" option in the top left -> hit ok. Just in case anyone else was trying to do this!

So far, I've done some research into the Starfield variant of the CK, and I've found out several new things: -How starstations and unique non operable ships are built (they have an interior and exterior version of the ship with marker connectors in the ShipCell cell. They are then referenced by a GBFM file, which combined them into one object. This object is then either referenced further, or used in the Spacecell cell) -How operable ships are built (also via a GBFM file, though these seem to reference modules and their placement location directly, as opposed to referencing cells) -How custom ship modules are made (These are also split into interior and exteriors files, but instead of cells, they are PackIns. Objects that are first grouped, and then turned into PackIns via right click. I now have you knowledge at my disposal as well =D. But I still need to figure out several enigmas: -How to colorize ship modules on specific ships in the CK (checked everything, still can't figure it out) -How to make custom stars and systems and actually have the changestake effect (Tried changing a star's color, nothing happened. -How the planet's environment is generated (Most maps just have structures, plain terrain and tree markers) -How to place markers for fast travel on planets -How to spawn ships (probably via a script) It's gonna be a trip to figure out, and I really hope folks bring some tutorials around.

great tutorial and stright to the point, the thing this is the first time i touch CK, i worked with unreal and unity before, so i am interested to learn CK, starting by adding new props, clothing and possibly head/hair. does anyone has good recommendation of tutorial bout this? i have so many questions. 1. is there a folder viewer/content browser in CK? i guess the directory actors/...XXX.nif are "virtual" inside the .esm, how the heck do i export vanilla nif to blender as reference modeling new stuff? and then how to import new nifs to CK and then packaging it as new asset/items as a mod to then install to my game? it sucks that BGS took CreationWIki offline for maintenence right now at launch of SFCK, what were they thinking?
