No need to use all of the 4 wires, just group the red and black ones together and use two wires on the battery(they are soldered together on the battery chipset anyways). I actually drilled a small hole under my charge 3 and used an old 5000 mah vape battery, still waterproof as i completely sealed the hole with silicone. I also used molex female connector on the jbl and male connector on the battery, so i can remove it easily and if needed make more batteries for it for portability reasons.

yes that's right, join the cables of the same color I leave other information : I only used the battery input if you are trying to use the charging input you will need a controller with 5v to 5v input if you want to use direct "charging" via usb. they can also cut a usb cable, shred the red and join in the red cable and the same with black to black. this at the load inlet. I will try as soon as possible to make a new video explaining this.

Im gonna be using a stepdown to 4v- 4.2v, but while im waiting for the board from China, I am currently using an 18650 batt which isn't getting charged (probably because the data cable isn't telling the system about the batt) I unfortunately thrown the BMS so im left with no choice but to just charge the batt manually and or wait for the volt step down

@@kolemlg hello again, the crackling sound may have another cause, for example when you closed the speaker, it was vibrating close to the structure, but this happens more in loud sound. Is the battery you bought good enough? third if you don't charge directly you can use the battery without bms "the external one" and charge the cell externally. Connect to the poles where the battery is located, pay attention to the positive and negative.

Yes and no . the voltage of a usb charger and 5v for that and those converter convert it to 3.7 as security. 5v may not burn the column immediately since there is little discrepancy. but it can certainly cause problems later. solution if you want to use with direct usb or buy the spare part if you find it, or look for a card that converts 5v to 3.7 and can connect through any usb input www.aliexpress.com/item/32817933017.html?spm=a2g0o.productlist.0.0.780c17cbrp8z4p&algo_pvid=6cb29b73-8f91-4f82-93ee-b342d2ac70fc&algo_expid=6cb29b73-8f91-4f82-93ee-b342d2ac70fc-1&btsid=0b0a556116077079564095360e340c&ws_ab_test= searchweb0_0, searchweb201602_, searchweb201603_ first solder the column cables to the output of the board then use a cut cable with usb input place the red on + and the black on - on the board input. and so you can use it directly through an alternative USB input, making it more affordable. I can later make a video with this solution. :)

it is also possible to connect the input directly to the gbl board where it converts to 3.7v to power the speaker. like this originally. soldering the cables the 4 slots or at least 2 to + / - the rest and for data and updates. since this was my first video and it was not very good I will soon release a more preceptible update of this video with 3 ways to recover without buying original parts.

@@doitgirl i just replaced my charge 3 battery, well im surprise it is infact a 5v configuration, two in parallel. I thought the tiny board was a bms but just a simple board with a fuse. I replaced it with just a normal 1700 mah 18650 and cant keep up an hour under high volume and generates heat. Maybe thats why the old batteries were in a parallel to be able to handle such high current discharge while using. And we cant obviously fit two 18650's right. Or did someone tried using a high drain 18650?

hello Harun, are you using a 3.7v type 18650 battery? when we use the battery input the voltage to use and 3.7v don't use the charging port i need to make a video on how to do this correctly. yes if you are heating it is likely that it is shorted out. checked the polarity? try to change the battery and see if the same happens but be careful battery heating is dangerous. I can say that it could also be that the problem is really something in the circuit and this is the general problem and not the battery itself. Try to check and tell me something.
