Another thing some beginner artists may not have noticed: Some things that may also not be noticed is the hue change (it took me ages to see it too). As well as the colours gradually getting lighter, they're also shifting from cooler blue tones to warmer yellow tones. You can try mixing blues and yellows into your greens, but not too much, you'd be surprised by how little it takes for the effect to take place.
@niki-zi6vm

i’m a little confused can you elaborate more?
@micheya2944

@@niki-zi6vm - it's a little hard to explain without seeing it, but I'll do my best. Picture painting some leaves. Usually you'd use green, and some people in their paint sets already have a dark green and a lighter green in their paint set However, let's say you only had one green, a method to make it lighter would not just be using white, rather using a bit of yellow. And to make the darker shades for the colour, rather than just using black which would make the colour seem a bit muddy, you'd use a hint of blue (Blue is quite a strong colour so you have to be careful with the amount and make sure its really small) The yellow mixed in for the highlight and the blue mixed in for the shadow introduces a more vibrant painting than if you just used black and white. Of course it doesn't have to just be yellow and blue However yellow is an example of a warm colour and blue is an example of a cool/cold colour that can be used for highlights and shadows Another Cool/cold colours would be purple And another warm colour would be orange And then there's also the fact that you can make a cooler colour a little bit warmer by adding a warm colour to it (depending on the colour you might accidentally make brown instead) and vice versa with making warm colours a little bit cooler/colder. There are different videos and articles about colour to watch, I'll try to see if I can get the links for some, for you
