Hello! I've been curious about how I can turn hole-punched loose leaf papers into a notebook that would be enjoyable to use. This video captures my attempt using stab binding, and I'm happy with how they turned out. Papers for bookbinding can be hard to come by, so binding affordable hole-punched papers makes for a quick, satisfying project where you can personalize the covers to your aesthetic. Thanks to tips from the fountain pens subreddit, I found fountain pen friendly lined paper at my local drug store (CVS). Let me know if you try this out yourself!

this is perfect for my current project! I hate spiral bound notebooks, but all the best planners come with spirals. I also love your editing style, it's very calming to watch you work

This is so great for custom school notebooks! I have so much random loose leaf paper lying around and feel so bad about never using it, but this is perfect! As convenient as the kokuyo refillable notebooks are, I’ve had problems with them opening up in my bag so this is a much better way for me to use it! Thanks!!!!!

BMB- I use a small drill with a 1/8” or 1/16” wood bit to pre-drill holes for stab binding. A couple of binder clamps secure the loose sheets so they don’t slip. Place a scrap of binders board beneath the paper stack to prevent tear out on the bottom paper sheets and use firm gentle pressure to guide the drill bit through. Run it through 2 or 3 times and you’ll get a nice clean stab hole.

Both versions of the notebooks are useful and straightforward. Your scoring before folding is easily forgotten but very useful. I can't get over how sturdy and well made your ruler is! Missed shots of your special guard dog Lucy - hope she is O.K. Very fine video.....

Thank you! This is will be so helpful for all my old drawings done on printer paper. XD I was actually trying to figure out how to make them look better today. They are all currently stored in 6 large 3 ring binders. And they don't look very nice on my shelf. This will be so much better. Thank you once again.

would it be prudent to put sewing stations near each end of the spine, to make the tie-up around the top and bottom of the spine?

Could all the pages be creased where they open, prior to assembly? That would make it easier to lay open.
