In this [intermediate level] video, we go over how to animate cars in Blender using the add-on "Launch Control". We will be making a mini-cooper jump the Tower Bridge in London!! So strap in and let's get started!
Also.. Yes, sorry.. For some reason this Mini has RWD... I mean, it's a very modified Mini, m'kay? ^^
Also, also, at 12:05 I wasn't meaning to say "Spin the wheels the same way", but rather "Spin the wheels the same amount..".
About Launch Control (LC) ►
If you want to make realistic-looking car animations in Blender in no time, LC is the tool for you!

@@Sidowse Yeeeah, I had just totally missed that I didn't set the track to mono inside resolve so it would split it between both sides. man, it's so dumb I already linked people to the video, so that's why I don't want to re-upload.

Yes....i was ending up with deleting all the car animation whenever trying to do manual minor adjustments...... This addon seems to be lifesaver
i would like if you developt another way to fix the jump no ground detection problem, inside the addon...
Yeah when you put it on blender market you should make it look as nice as transportation or traffiq....cuz this is cool! 😎

To bad you disnt dhow the path after your rumbling haitiace, i giess lots of viewers are wondering how you added that soft swirl when it landed. Is that just simply done by adding a soft curve to the guide path?

Daniel, so nice stuff. Jus love it! But tell me please, why your voice in this video recorded to one channal(mono) and music 0.31 is Stereo ? Hope your sound card is ok and nothing happend to it

Hehehe, yeah.. sorry about that 😅 I had messed up the channel settings inside my video editor, so it exported with one channel muted.. I didn't realise. In the latest video the mistake has been fixed, but sadly it's not possible to update these things in KZread videos without removing the video entirely :(

Hey man! Thanks for the question! I would recommend you to animate in slow motion to make that. You can also use the "Time remapping" in Blender after simulating the physics - It won't be super accurate as the physics only bake for each "original frame" and the physics calculations would be interpolated, but it does a decent job. :D
Why can't I click recalculate path?
Thanks for the add on its awesome. is there any guidance on snapping the control points to the throat? 4:20 minutes in it starts and is rushed over, i cant make out the controls to press, and i cant find the actions in blender, my path wont follow the ramp. thanks again for this awesome add on

Hey man! Thank you so much for the kind words about the add-on! So happy you like it. Yes! Sorry about that - I forgot to say that I always have my "snapping options" in the top of the 3D view set to "Face". Then even when the "Magnet icon" is turned off, you can press CTRL and it will snap the points to you are moving to the closes face. :) Let me know if you can get that to work

Sadly not, Launch Control in its current state only works with 4 wheeled cars, but I would be super happy to expand it in the future 😄

Hi there!! I am really sorry this tutorial might have been too fast. The following ones I made are slower paced to make it easier to follow along. Tonight I uploaded a new tutorial showing exactly how to animate the speed - I think that is what you are looking for. Hope it will be useful. 😊
