I was clearing out my fathers garage after he passed away and found a half used bottle of turtle wax original with a special promotion price of £1.99 from Texas.... so that dates it..... smelt ok though!!! Anyway, the point I make is that Turtle Wax have moved forward leaps and bounds.... away from the Sunday car washer with an old bucket and sponge.

AWESOME INTRO AND REVIEW! I too bought the tickets to YOUR fabulous new action thriller movie today but went to the preview in December when I got the TW Black bucket and all the products. In Jan I used them on a Toyota, black Camry and a Mazda 6, soul red, and I'm a BELIEVER! The 1 & Done is a knockout: It's fast, effective, and produced magnificent finishes. The Max Wax and Flex wax were just as incredible and of course, are now my go-to products. Love the NEW TW mindset and products.

Hi Jon, Thanks for this video. I never seen the Platelet 1 and done product before and I must say I am utterly Impressed. I know flex wax has been out for a year or so and it seems it takes forever for these products to get to Australia. By the time they do, something new comes out and it really frustrates me not being able to get it here without having to pay extortionate shipping charges to purchase overseas. We shouldn't have to pay double. I just wish we get these the same time everyone else does. Other detailing channels tease us constantly and the only people who seem to be able to get them are Americans and Canadians. They don't realise the world consists of many other countries too.

Excellent points Tony. I'm in the UK, and although we get the products a bit before you do in Oz, the price difference in the UK versus USA and Canada is ridiculous for us too. That said, the TW Precision Platelet is currently around £22.00 on the British Amazon Prime (inc. Shipping and packaging) and for a 500ml bottle I'd say is priced fairly now compared to a few months ago.

@@as680783 Prices tend to fluctuate on Amazon a great deal I have noticed too. I always go back and take a look and only purchase when I think it's reasonable. I have enough products now to last me for a few years, so I've taken a break from buying anymore.

Super smooth machine. I'm no expert but i like sandro's general polishing suggestions, from down under. That you should work your section area in this case about 6x the size of your pad for 90-120sec. I found that with my slow style i easily ate up 90 seconds on the panel with just 3 passes. Of course this is not set in stone. But its more then enough on my toyota. Its my test standard that i use first.

Only if the finish is not as you want. But the aim with one and done is really one set only. You can do more but it becomes less efficient. If you are getting machine induced marring on soft paint then step down to a softer pad. If you need more cut step up.

FLEX SPRAY at 30 quid for 500ml.! I can buy a litre of Garage Therapy Sigma for less than that and get better results. Also I have loads of Turtle Wax Hybrid Sealant left. 2 coats of that will give you 9 months protection. Incidentally CP4L are selling Turtle Wax Hybrid Sealant for 5.30. The cost of these Pro Line Products in the UK is almost double to the USA price 👀🤷‍♂️

I can't believe that the pre condition paintwork was as bad as it looked here. It looked "prepared" to me. Having said that it looks like a product that is worth trying. Expensive though. TW are gradually ramping up the prices here in the UK. Is it usable by hand?

@@ForensicDetailing Hi Jon! Took the plunge and bought the in2detailing DA15 and Scholl S20. Followed your videos for beginners and got really good results... one slight issue is that after about half hour maybe 40 minutes, it was almost as if there was water coming off the pad and the polish was starting to dry out on the panel rather quickly... any idea what I could be doing wrong? (Using orange hex logic pad)

@@user-fz9ej6ch3d and you were getting the polish deposits sticking on the surface right? this can happen with S20. when that happens switch out to a totally new pad. so the used polish in the pad is actually mixed with clearcoat and the more used polish build up you get the drier and more stick the component becomes. soft pads are also more prone to releasing the spend polish onto the surface.

Great content on something I’m interested in and I’ll definitely give the turtle wax a go. Just pulled the trigger on some TAC Systems Shinee Wax 4000ml and some Signature Super Slick Quick Detailer 5l for claying (On Offer again) that you reviewed. Do you have a 3” cutting (orange pad) that you could recommend? Previously used Autobrite Direct 3” cutting pad and it didn’t go well. 4 AD Orange pads came away from backing on one car. The 3” Autobrite Direct 3” polish and wax’s pads were great.

If you go to the effort of machine polishing then this is the stage before a sealant. Dealing with something like a Ceramic coating like carpro cquarts U.K. and carpro gliss will give you years of protection. You can use a wax but your looking at a few Months if your lucky.

Thank you very much again John Your channel is my favorite by far. Could you please say what speed did you polish this car at ? How many rpm ? Is this product any better than Scholl concept one step ? I have a cordless drill 1800 Rpm. I have tried polishing black car with medium cut foam pad and Scholl concept one step and results were poor Removed like 30% of defects and left holograms . Has to switch to fine cut bad and fine finnishing polish to remove hiligramms. I can get this.product where I am , I am not happy with Scholl. I can easily enough get Mcqures ultimate compound , but not sure if it will manage it

use between 4-5 out of 6 speed. set the speed so the machine isnt easily stalling but also is not top whack. top whack generally overheats the pads a bit more. we have a shootout video coming to comapre this to lots of other products gonna take some time to test them all though. You need to get a Dual action polisher my friend.

Do you have to clean the pad between each panel? Soap and water, dry before next panel? That would mean 8 pads, roughly, to do a vehicle.

Wow, that looks really good. Ive always used Sonax Perfect Finish, as it seems to be good for people like me. I.e Mr Average trying to maintain his car paint at home. Looks like this new TW product is better ?. Q. Re your Battery machine polishers. How long do they last on a full charge ?. I.e If you were doing a full car the size of your BMW. Would you need 1, 2, or 3 batteries to complete the job. They look so much easier than trying to manage the cable at the same time as concentrating on your cutting work.

flex you can round robin with 2 x 5amp batteries. Im using forced rotation which can use more power than free spinning. you should get about 45-60 minutes real time polishing at least recharge time is about 48 minutes i think. I did no load run tests of these in the reviews for the tools). performance will deteriaote a bit over time I guess.

Single polish systems have been out for decades so one and done is not new however TW hopefully has done something new, new is sorely needed in this game. . My mentor invented single polish systems and really refined them to solvent free and extremely burn mark resistant (pad burn not clearcoat failure). If turtle wax hybrids are actually good then they will stand out from the tonnes of brands who are more interested in being relevant in the market through marketing only not innovation. Love your videos Jon. You deserve the following you have. Would you say that this product is solvent/oil based or water based?

Matt you are someone that knows their stuff when it comes to polishing, good to hear from you. this is an emulsion. Water is the primary carrier, followed by the usual things, isoparrafins, hydrocarbon carrier solvents, mineral oil. Glycerine etc.. feels pretty loose untill you start working it then you will notice its pretty oily, it can take a hammering. pretty smooth as well. Its decent stuff, the sucess will be down to the user as always, sticking with the set piece and taking their time, cleaning the pad, proper wash and decon prep, decent lighting, buffing it all offer nice and carefully etc.. You can get a good view of what it did. What you will understand is that the polishing set I did was pretty thorough as well so I really hit that target section over properly. If I did a turbo set results would have been less impressive. This all ties in with the point about this product, its essentially a tool and the tradesmen has to know how to use it to get the best results.
