Brother thanks for the vid. I’ve applied Max Wax to 3 black vehicles. I use a DA polisher with a soft foam finishing pad and a slow speed. You have to wait 3 mins before wiping off with a damp cloth first to wipe off then a dry one to buff in. Instructions on back are pretty clear. What I noticed was you did it in the sun, that’s a no no, then you seem to wipe off immediately without letting it haze just a little.

I purposely tested the compound and max wax in direct sunlight because this was a new product and wanted to see how it would work I was given these products to test them anyway I wanted. The max wax did a lot better on my part two video. As well as on some gray paint . Thank you for pointing out 3 minutes because I forgot to mention that in my video.

@@Autofusionchannel I sorta had the same thing happen with me and the 1 n done polish. First time I didn’t like it, the second time I loved it. I still will grab the TW Hybrid Ceramic Polish more than I will the 1 n done though. The ceramic polish will get out swirls AND leave a base layer of protection and is slicker feeling than 1 n done. I then wait overnight and the next day I apply the flex wax. Customers love it. High gloss and extremely slick.

@@BetterThanNewDetailing man that’s a great idea I’ll have to definitely give that a try thanks for sharing. 👍👍Right now I’ve been using the max wax as the base and the flex wax as a topper to maintain the max wax. So far so good.

@@BetterThanNewDetailing ya man...that Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Polish is terrific stuff. Cleans/shines/protects.

I’ve had major streaking/smearing problems on my black ‘17 Camry, with TW ceramic products. I got tired of having to do multiple wipe-downs with a damp towel. I switched back to my old favorite, Finish Kare High Temp Paste Wax, and my problems have been solved.

Iv yet to try the TW ceramic line The wipe down with a damp cloth was new to me and at first didn’t like it as well. But the results are pretty satisfying. I tried the max wax on grey paint and the process was much faster then the two black vehicles I did . Thank you for mentioning the Kare Past wax I’ll have to give that a try. Thank you for watching as well.

Just an observation…Perhaps the compound needs to cure for bout a day before applying the max wax?! I will try it myself… Thanks for the review!

I have found applying liquid graphene waxes (even more expensive ones) with a buffer gives a much more uniform layer. Slower speed on buffer and also arm speed works great for me.

Yes black vehicles can be tough I used the max wax on a car with grey paint and it was easy to use and take off. Black paint does seem to take some work from my experience. Thank you for watching

I will be doing another vehicle soon to see if my experience changes with the max wax .

I ran into the same problem with the streaking after polishing. I was using the flex wax tho. I think the deal is the oils block the polish from sticking. I think your gonna need to rub down the panels with alcohol then apply the wax. Kind of a pain. May be best to just wait till the next wash and wash with dawn then wax.

Hey thanks for sharing, on my second video I ended up using chemical guys wipe out after polishing and this seemed to help. Just like you stated it might have been the oils from the polish .

@@jal7068 That may be the ticket with this stuff. They say correct with a damp towel but i hear just buffing with one all the time works better. If you overapply it really goes bad fast. That makes applying even even more important.

How long does the wax last what is is it longevity if you do all the prep work right I love the waxes application better than the spray application

I believe It’s about a year with proper maintenance

I used the One and Done yesterday on my car; using the 50/50 microfiber pad first (4 dots on the pad) and then used the black foam pad (4 dots on the pad). I tapped the pad over the area to be done, started the machine out at a 1 speed (using a Porter Cable machine) and then switched to 4 speed in a cross hatch; doing this way with the 50/50 pad. Then when using the black foam pad, I also tapped the pad over the area, started out with a 1 speed to spread, then changed to a 3 speed in a cross hatch. I noticed that with each pad and application, it was harder and longer to remove the compound; I had to use all three microfiber towels; and it wasn’t very translucent. What did I do wrong?

I’m not sure you did anything wrong I’ve came across people having had the same issue. Less is more with this product so next time maybe try less product.

Was there a reason why you did not apply the wax with the polisher? Do you think that would have made a difference in the coverage? I really appreciate the video quality and clarity. What kind of prep work did you do? The results were stunning. Are you going to coat your vehicle or just wax, with a graphene topper?

Thank you , I applied the wax by hand to see how it would work as a hand application since it was my first time using the max wax. i just love to apply wax and sealants by hand for some reason lol. As for the prep work I washed and clayed the vehicle then wiped the car with chemical guys wipe out surface cleaners just to make sure the paint was as clean as i could get it then polish. After polish I used the wipe out surface cleaner to remove polish oils before applying Max wax. The protection is with the max wax and then maintain with flex wax.

What brand is your 5 inch backing plate? Edit: thank you for using it outside on the sun

@@Carlos.Rivera not really just a bit better control I probably could have got away with the 6inch but I wanted to tryout the pads Turtle wax had given me.

Is there as minimum rpm or max for this? Great vid👍

As for the product I would say no It has a pretty long work time which I really like about the 1 and done compound and a little goes along way. On this Vehicle I went ahead and used the orange cutting pad because I was removing light swirl marks and scratches and it was perfect for this paint my setting on the orbital was set to around 4 1/2 give or take that seemed to be sufficient enough for the vehicle with light pressure
