It was pitch black, so I reached out for the banister and unexpectedly placed my hand on top of another hand. Except it wasn't another hand. It was a huntsman spider. Could be flash frozen or two slabs of ice he enclosed his hand in.

My guess is that 2 containers were used to make the ice cube. There is a hand sized depression frozen into the top of the block of ice. The top of the frozen block then becomes the botton, leaving a rim of ice around the edges to hide your hand. You just sit the block of ice onto your hand, the thin section allows you to see the hand through the other side. The ice was only sitting on his hand and wrist, check out the technique used on the flip-to-smash.

I built a gasoline powered flamethrower when I was 13. It worked pretty well and had a range of about 15m. The catch was that you had to constantly pump with one hand until the tank was empty, or it exploded. I have now idea how I´m still alive.
