Turning Paper. Can It Hold Out?

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

For this "Woodturning" Project I decided to experiment with paper. I had to make sure that every piece was fully submerged in Resin, that's why I put them one by one. It turned out rock-hard so I was able to make a very interesting lidded box.

This turned out really nice but the real artistic gem is hidden in the irony of paper, made from wood, re-constituted back into a solid form, and shaped as if it were wood....again! Enjoy the Christmas holiday and pray for a better new year!

I wonder if he knew of micarta before doing this project. I think the improvements over other micarta are that he put it into a box and used clamps to squeeze out all the air bubbles and make the layers as even as possible. An idea that might not have occurred to someone already familiar w/traditional micarta methods.
