if you convert your logo into svg, you can then import the svg into fusion as an svg and resolve will atomatically mask parts of the logo for you you can then just copy and paste the shape into the shape polygon without having to mask manually... You migh know about it but just in case... Love your short tuts. Thank you.

It won't copy and paste into the shape polygon. Can you explain further, how to connect it to the shape_merge node?

"...and you can spend 1 week animating your logo." 😂 Thanks, this is very helpful. The SVG converter turned my logo into 50 paths. The use of sPolygon to limit the number of paths in the workflow is an excellent tip!

Another legendary tutorial - I'm too lazy to try it out now but I'll do it later for sure 👀

What if i have a more complex logo? What do you suggest?

whaat if I have empty space in the logo, like an o?

Câmera animation makes me lazy too, i have to be very brave to use that

How does one go about adding texture to the cube? A bunch of image plane nodes that are then keyframed to match the animation or is there a more straightforward way that my deadass brain can't think about right now?

Also that 3D Logo gave me a bit of ColdFusion outro with the diamond. I know it's quite sophisticated, but perhaps with your beautiful, lazy attempts would you be up for a challenge? 😉

Sorry sensei but I am gonna have to suggest a more simple method. It doesn't involve Resolve but it's very simple, very fast and doesn't involve any rotoscoping. 1. Import the logo into Blender (.svg files are preferred). 2. select the logo as the object. 3. Go to Edit Mode. 4. Click on the 'face' of the logo. 5. Tap 'E' on Keyboard for Extrusion. 6. Extrude it to any length you want. You can do 3D extrusion in under a minute.

I feel like this way is easier for simpler logos like this as the integration to resolve is better as you can edit it at anytime without having to import anything or open new apps

Well you are right… creating a 3d logo on a 3d software it is way easier… but the point is how we can make it in davinci, also i don’t really like blender 😅😅
