    🇺🇸I wish I seen this video before clean my bitter leaves. I washed it several times and removed the stems from the bitter leaves. It took me about an hour. I’ll try it again using your method. Thanks for sharing ❤🇺🇸

    Good morning sis, I just came across your video now, so lovely thanks❤. I want to ask what to do if the ugwu is mixed with bitter leaf, what do one do? Thanks in anticipation.

    Thanks Sis for visiting my channel. In a situation where dry ugu leaf got mixed up with dry Onugbu, you are left with no option than to patiently and painstakingly separate the leaves. As we know, Onugbu leaf is darker in color than Ugu, so that can be a helpful guide to follow when separating them. If you make the mistake of cooking the leaves together, not only will you lose the taste of Ugu, but the texture as well as it has a more tender texture than Onugbu. I hope this help. All the best !!

    Thanks for this video. Is this the same process for dried Ugo and uziza?

    thanks for watching. ugu and uziza are naturally softer than dried onugbu. all you need to do is soak them in water before use.

    Wow! And I just threw away a whole packet of dried bitter leaf yesterday because it looked so hard and dry that I was afraid to put it in my soup 😅 let me go and buy another one and use your method. Does it also work for other dried leaves like scent leaf, uziza, etc? I tried using dried scent leaf in my groundnut soup after soaking in boiling water, omo, I am still regretting it. Thank you ma 🙏🏾

    Oh no! Our onugbu is gold here!! Using this method, you can turn even a 2 years old dry onugbu into fresh one. As for scent leaf and uziza, honestly, you don't need to boil them before using because they are not as hard or coarse as onugbu. all you have to do is add them earlier than usual to your food. Btw, thanks for watching the video.

    why using waterproof to cook the bitter leaf

  • @GreyGlammaKitchen

    @GreyGlammaKitchen

    You need to have the bitter leaf mixed with baking soda in a bag for steaming. You can use a steaming pot/rack or aluminium foil if you do not want to use plastic bag.
