The main challenge is security and stability. Countries along the corridor have to be stable with good infrastructure. And then these countries must have good strategic relationships with large economies. Looking at this, only the IMEE corridor makes sense for India. UAE-SA-Israel-Greece are all friendly, resourceful and stable countries for India.

The trade between China and Europe was 800 billion before BRI started, and now, 10 000 rail carriers passing thrugh from Jan ~Jun 2023. Total value of goods expected for 2023 in 1.2 trillion USD. But for India and Europe? The trade was about 100 billion. Its not going to support IMII corridor. India is too poor to buy from Europe, and produce nothing for European market, so there is no trade. Any corridor link India is pointless, because it all goes thru Mumbai Port. No rail thru Pakistan, everything remains exactly same as today.

By any of the route - 1) Spice route - Saudi Arabia, UAE are in control 2) Turkey Route - Iraq, Turkey are in Control 3) Bandar Abbas Route - Iran I control 4) BRI - China controlled - Central Asia benefits With all these routes Egypt is at Loss. Spice route is more promising because it will benefit multiple parties instead in BRI China is singular most beneficiary. More partner means more money, such deal might take time but in tough situations since multiple parties are involved projects are tough to fail also. Ultimately its backed by India, US, Saudi Arabia, UAE, France, Greece, Germany etc Instead just China in BRI. India never backed BRi.

Turkey and China consented to a "Memorandum of Understanding on Aligning the Belt and Road Initiative and the Middle Corridor Initiative" in November 2015 at the G-20 Leaders Summit in Antalya. Within the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) framework, the Trans-Caspian China Railway Express Chang'an Train traveled for 18 days from Xi'an, China, to Prague, Czech Republic. In addition to the Middle Corridor, this freight train used the BTK railway and the Marmaray in Turkey to reach its ultimate destination. The BRI route attained a significant milestone on November 6, 2019, when the train passed Ankara, Turkey. The quantity of freight rail services continues to increase.

Turkeye can implement its own project if it works in troubled areas of Iraq where there can be huge resistance from Kurdish rebels against Tukeye , the spice route from India , UAE Saudi,Jordan and Israel seems a safer bet as they are stable nations with sound political and economic situations

Turkiye and Iraq should do this route with China, this route is shortest and fastest. You don't need to use ships twice, just take it to train in Iraq port and it will go anywhere in Europe. Chinese goods will be with consumers while Indian ones are taken to ship in Israeli port.

It should be avoided! 😂 A country that doesn't even know whether they are Europeans or Asians is in fact dealing with a severe identity crisis. They think that if they have stupid white skin, they look like Europeans or are Europeans. This country is trying to gain European Union membership but Europeans are kicking his butt and his country's butt as well.

Jordan and Israel are not part of the initiative. The initiative starts in India - UAE (probably JBR) - Saudi (Probably NEOM) through the Suez canal and into Europe (Through south of France, although initially it was Italy)

Nothing can beat Suez Canal in terms of cheaper costs. Do you know how expensive using trains vs. Ships?

On paper sounds good but ships can carry far more than rail . Secondly the more countries it passes through the more complicated it becomes , if one country becomes belligerent everything comes to a stand still

The 45 trillion dollars that were taken mainly consist of natural resources. If you look at India's current mineral deposits, most are completely depleted (that's why India imports their minerals instead of producing them themselves; they have nothing left). The British forced Indians to mine and carry those minerals and resources to the sea port so they could be sent back to England every single day for 200 years. The U.S. and U.K. infrastructure was pretty much built from not only India's natural minerals but also India's blood, sweat, and even lives (countless Indians died working in the mines all day with less than a portion of grain in their stomachs).

Items such as coal, iron ore, timber, cotton, and other natural resources are brought to the ports every day for the British to ship home to use in their factories. Coal and iron ore can produce steel, which, along with wood, can be used to build houses, large buildings, halls, subways, trains, and factories. Iron ore can be used to build cars, machinery, weapons, ships, and jets. Both the U.K. and U.S. 1st and 2nd industrial revolutions were built with India's funds and India's free labour.

1.8 Billion makes sense. India today on average loses 10 million people per year due to natural cause or illness. So in 200 years they would lose 10million x 200 years = 2 billion people. Imagine 1757 - 1947 times when India didn't have any healthcare like today and life expectancy was much much shorter with mass malnourish (Bengal Famine + 63 other major famines) and were forced to work to their very bones losing their lives in the process.

@@worldofmadness5875 so you have to unload again on a ship then unload again in Greece! So what is the gain! It is easier and cheaper to keep it on the same ship and go through the Surz canal! It is foolish to go by sea then unload at seaport in Oman for example, then go by train then go to a seaport and repeat! loading and unloading is more costly and meaningless!

Multi modal transport system will be non competitive when compared to direct shipping via Ships! Today Suez Canal is cheaper and it’s cheaper to expand Suez Canal than building a new transport system.
