Awesome! It made me smile big. Last year was my son’s first turkey, and it put me right back in that place. Also, it’s funny how our “guy” voices get higher in pitch the more excited we are for our little ones!

The three note yelp is really how a lot of hens talk after all of their initial early morning calling after fly down. Listening to live hens is about the best calling lessons you can get.

    1. The reason I enjoy Ted’s hunts is his excitement. He was so excited to hear a gobble. 2. Warb leaving it up to miles whether he wants to shoot a Jake or not is so cool. So much attention is put on getting a tom or a big buck but when it comes to kids, especially on their first bird, anything is a trophy.

Two Double Beards 11 inches long !!!! He’s went directly to the taxidermy shop Taxidermist said it would be hard to beat my bird … He was visibly shook when he seen him in the back of the truck 😅

I tagged out at 7:45 am this morning on a nice Tom in Minnesota on opener sat in rain and had three Tom’s in my decoy setup within 15 minutes the thing I have learned from thp over the last few years scout scout scout i literally spent the last two weeks on these birds roosting them keeping them in the area with the stray hen calls and I literally got to hunt for about 10 minutes made my decision very easy this year I will be trying a Wisconsin season too also this is my third year tagging out in a row never tough by anyone but myself and KZread videos and just being out there with the real birds !!!!!!!

My son is 10, and in his second year hunting public land in our state... South Carolina. We have had some tough hunts, and he was a little discouraged. We've been on some birds lately, and he is charged back up. I hate you weren't successful, but it helps to show the young ones that even professionals have a run of bad luck. Thanks for showing the whole story. PS. Birds in our state on game lands have doctorate degrees... they've seen it all.

Nick, re your comment at camp about having to "go" at night. I used to piss a stream a cat could climb, and now I barely get an ounce out 10 times a day!! But I'm still turkey and deer hunting at nearly 80 and don't plan to slow down anytime soon. In fact, this past Monday I called up a flock before sunrise and killed an old boss 20 pounder that was bringing up the rear. Y"all are good hunters. Good luck and keep the videos coming.
