Thanks for this video. I am a 75 year old resident PA deer hunter who can no longer hunt because of a stroke in 2014. I can live again thru your efforts of filming and the hunt. I miss it dearly! God Bless you and your crew for showing off my PA Outdoors! Lt Col Doug Robison, USAF Ret/ Capt. UAL Ret.

My favorite deer hunting vids. Real hunters who really love what they do, going after regular bucks that don't have names and four year photo histories.

Love these show, but spare me the BS. Just because some of us don’t hunt like these guys, doesn’t mean we’re less passionate about hunting. I hunt private land and work my ass off for every buck I have. Matter of fact, all of the bucks I have wasn’t even taken anywhere near the feeders. There’s more than one way to skin a cat. So get your noses out from the clouds. You’re not better than me as a hunter because “you put more work in”. I work my ass off for every deer I’ve taken and I do it all legally and ethically, with low or no fences.

@@carlosopinion5629 Unless you have a large piece of private land where your bucks live most of their life, and you have four year histories and names for all the Boone & Crockett bucks on your property, this comment wasn't aimed at you. Think we've all seen the shows and know what I'm referring to.

@@JK-cv9jf Fair enough. And yes, I know exactly what you’re referring to and I do agree on a lot of levels. But even high fence has there place. Simply put, I don’t judge other hunters on where and how they hunt. I’m sure everyone has their reasons. And it’s not my place to criticize or belittle another hunter because I don’t feel like he’s worthy. My only requirement is that you do it legally and ethically. And if you pass down our values to the younger generation, all the better. But at the end of the day, we all share the same passion for these animals and the outdoors. It just pains me when I see certain negative comments from the community. This crap happens in the gun community too. You’ll always have a group of folks that think they’re better than everyone else. Just sayin’....

@@carlosopinion5629 We hunt 600 acres, have many cameras and food plots. I still get shut out on decent bucks some years even though I'm a fanatical hunter. But the few times I've ventured into heavily hunted public land, I've had a hard time even finding deer, much less finding a nice buck. Any one who hunts ethically is OK in my book, but a hunter who can consistently find shooter bucks on public land is a step above my level. Kind of like a weekend golfer can admire Dustin Johnson's game while still enjoying regular golf.

I thought that guy was pheasant or grouse hunting, but here he was jumping puddle ducks. Way to adapt and overcome that situation. I hunt from the ground since we don't own much property and I like being down there with them, I want a tree saddle eventually for certain situations. But mostly from the ground. I am glad that deer was recovered, very rare to see one get shot full frontal. Thanks for sharing.

The hunting in PA has gotten so much better over the past 4 years or so. The amount of big bucks I have gotten on camera over those years has greatly improved. I've gone from getting 8 points as my big bucks on camera to it not being uncommon to get big 12s on camera. Last year I got about 3 or 4 10s and 2 or 3 12s. Pa is quickly becoming a big buck state with thousands of acres of public land

I've been hunting PA public for 22 years and got my first buck last year in rifle after loosing a nice one during archery, I watched this video and Zach's hunt and his tactics lit a fire under my ass, by the way congrats on the nice 8 point, this was my 2nd year archery hunting and on Halloween I bagged myself my first archery harvest a 7 point brute from 7 yards away, biggest one anyone in my family has harvested, and it played out much like this hunt when I watched Zach's shot I thought man I cant imagine the rush it would be to take such a close shot and days later I found out and I still cant believe it.....the playbook I grew up with is no more and the game has forever changed thanks to The Hunting Public and a special Thanks to Zach seeing your hunt pay off gave me the confidence I needed to get aggressive on the hunt, try something new and it paid off big for me, hope this is a turning point in my hunting career and there are many more to come.

This is my third year hunting. I've yet to get a deer but after watching several videos and subscribing. Your guys "grunt/rustle" method got me to call in a buck yesterday. It was the first deer i ever had come into a call so it really boosted my confidence. I've learned a lot in the past few weeks just by watching the channel.

Congrats on a nice PA buck. Ive hunted Pa for 20 years now and that is a real nice PA buck. We do have bigger bucks and since the restrictions were put in place, we do see better bucks but not every piece or farm will have big bucks on them. They are around tho. And speaking of the pressure on public land. Hunter numbers are way down in PA. You really dont see almost any hunters until the early muzzleloader season comes in, thats when most of the pressure comes in PA. I can remember 10 to 15 years ago counting 100's of cars on public land roads. Its not even close to that anymore. If you guys come back to Pa again, i would suggest coming before that early muzzleloader comes in or after it ends. I usually dont see anyone until then. Goodluck the rest of the deer tour!

This deer Zach killed reminds me of the last deer I killed with a bow several years ago. I got one lung and the liver. I found him in a skidder rut, still alive but unable to get up. He just looked at me. I backed up and sat for over an hour while he died because I had nothing to finish him with. Eventually, he let out a bellow like I have never heard and thrashed around for about 10 seconds. It left a very bad taste in my mouth, and I just didn’t want to bow hunt anymore. In fact, I just stopped deer hunting for several years. I still hunted turkeys, but I just didn’t care for that feeling I got from that incident. It eventually passed a few years ago.
