I have a 69 ghia with a supercharged caddy northstar. I plan to run in 2019. When i drag race and i get over 110 mph the front end starts to float a bit. Not sure if its air or fiberglass front clip.. have you had issues w float and if so fix? Im shooting for 200 club. Love your run !

I had a little float and the car felt a little loose starting around 115 up to about 130 mph. I’m not 100% sure if it was the car or the track. Above 130 it felt solid. I took it up to 162 mph and it felt great.

wickedwagens thank you for the advice. I have a small spoiler in the front im testing this year at the stip. I will let you know how it goes and send pics so You can go faster and pump up that ghia record ! Love your work. Im just going for fun cause my car doesn't fit in any proper category. 🤣 good luck this year and be safe !

Mike Fischer put his Ghia in the wind tunnel. They found that a front air dam did more bad than good. They have been 181 MPH.

wickedwagens interesting.! I will have to play with that. Im also a convertable so i get an immediate 18% drag. Prob remove windshield, make a mini one, and cover pass side. Thanks! Good luck drive safe !

Also instead of an air dam what about a splitter?

The drag coefficient of a karmann Ghia is actually better than that of a Porsche 356 or 911.

I have never been able to find real numbers for the Karmann Ghia. Do you have them?
