Hey man!! Just wanted to say that I spent my summer vacation trying to beat the dev times. And I finally did it today!!(I left Turbo Track for last holy heck) I watched every single one of your guides to help me beat the dev times. And they helped me tremendously! I use to suck very badly on Blizzard Bluff. But thanks to your well constructed tutorial. I beat it IN 10 MINUTES!!! Thank you so much for the guides, they helped me so much. Gonna have a great time showing off the Master wheels in online matches now XD

You forgot 1 important thing. PERFECT boosts are a necessity for keeping your reserves on this track because the turbo pads don’t carry many

I haven't beaten Crash Cove dev time trial yet, and I thought I was the only one haven't done it, when you told that Crash Cove was in fact a hard one to beat, I feel better hahaha So far, I have beaten only Clockwork Wumpa dev time trial

When this first guide came out it help me beat the dev on PS4. I got the game again on switch and once again this guide comes in clutch. Beat the ghost by about half a second this time.

Man, this dev. time on this track was hell on earth for me to beat. It was the hardest track of CTR for me by now (I don't beat all tracks yet, hope I still reach this goal). It took me almost my entire last sunday to beat... Crash Cove, Slide Coliseum, Dragon Mines and Blizzard Bluff was hard too.

Viperian, I'm only going to say this once: Thank you so freaking much for the Dev Time guides! I was FINALLY able to beat William P.'s ghost on this track! The reason why I had a hard time was because I sucked at U-Turning, but thanks to a guide I found, I was able to master it in a short amount of time!

I also just beat all of Emperor Velo's time trials (which was hell by the way!) and about to begin the developer's time soon, I'm still practicing to improve my skills before I actually confront the Dev time... If you're on Playstation you don't need Retro Stadium to get the Master Wheels. No point putting yourself through Turbo Track twice if you don't need to 😂

Tanks for the video, surprisingly i don't find crash cove hard, blizzard bluff was a nightmare for me for the last shortcut

I was trying and failing this a while today, but these _very_ specific tips might be all I need to turn out a win. Maybe. Hopefully something similar is the case with Crash Cove, I'm stuck at a mere .4 seconds slower than that blasted William!

I didn't watch this guide. But I just beat it. Only just. I got a 133:46. Thank god he messed up the end or else I don't think I could do it 😂 took me about 3 hours I think. It's the hardest track for me. Bar none. Still got 4 more to do but wanted to get this one out of the way. And yes I've beaten Crash Cove. I practiced that map beforehand

I know speed is the best way to get better at the game but using drift for this track specifically worked like a charm. The U turns you make are much smoother and can save you some fire to hit the boost pad at the end of the zig zag

A little information, Drift is also possible cause you get slightly more reserves than speed. Its how I beat the ghost much easier to that as well. Once I beaten all the dev times except for Retro Turbo Stadium, took only a few tries to beat there as well.

Currently i have beaten some of this with Balanced (the class i use the most). The tracks that seem at the Moment impossible with It are some of the tracks i had quite a hard time to beat with the velo Ghost too (Crash Cove, Spyro Circuit, Koala Circus...)

Just came to watch. It may help against at least Velo. I ain't dare to dream 'bout doin' the dev times 😂

I've activly been avoiding Turbo Track and Slide Coliseum for this reason that u bend scares me, but I feel I will get it. Some are saying NOT to jump and use brake going round the bend? If you have enough reserves is that possible?

It is. U-turning can be performed on the ground or in the air. You keep your reserves as long as you keep U-turning without sliding out.

Gotta hand it to you buddy. If it weren't for your tips, I would'nt have won the Master wheels. Thank you.

This track was tough (1 minute 31.79 seconds). I am considering going from acceleration to drift as my go to class; it's on par with speed and faster than acceleration, and I don't have trouble with walls with it. As far as time trials go, I'll use speed on some of them.

Trevor Cooper Drift and Speed may not may not look far apart in terms of the speed stat, but the difference between the two is huge and oftentimes you’ll need that extra bit of speed to get a leg up on the dev ghosts.

@@TheViperian I did it! That hairpin curve is a doozy, but once I understood what to do, I was able to do it consistently. Practice, folks!

The Super Turbo Pads on Turbo Track and Retro Stadium give very little reserves by themselves, just like in the original CTR.

I follow your tips and beat hell of ghost. In u turn get where sec turbo pads need jump and hard brake get lot speed.

This track is insanely hard idk if I can beat this I already beaten crash cove just barely

i appreciate your help, but the thing is, this track is so unbelievably hard that i cannot keep fire no matter what i do, i always die in the most bullshit ways imaginable, and i doubt ill ever beat this track. any extra tips or am i just screwed out of the master tires because of one track?

After 4 days like 20 hours on the map I did it wow

I keep running out of fire when I do the super grass cut. Any tips?

My top 3 tracks for me were 1 out of time 2 turbo track 3 slide coliseum

I am finding this Dev. Time hard. Mainly the grass cut is the bit I seem to be messing up on. I do the jump before the grass then do 3 /max 4 hops and still seem to lose my blue flame nearly every time (I end up doing a part grass cut then get the turbo pad which is slower. Any advice on getting the big grass cut without losing the blue flame? I seem to be okay at the u turn section (I could still improve by using your technique). I have got 1:35.12 as my best.

I managed to beat it after six and a half hours of frustration.

I beat crash cove dev time before the patch came out, It’s hard because you have to kiss the corners a LOT.

This guide is ok for retro stadium as well?

I actually beat the Dev Ghost on Turbo Track with Drift. Yes, it was a very close call, but it's possible. William P. actually uses Drift on every of his tracks except Crash Cove and Out of Time.

That isn't true at all... He uses speed for all of his developer times 😂 You can beat some with other engines but you're just making it more challenging for yourself... I've done Turbo Track with Default Crash for fun, but that's all I've tried really

So close to beat him only 2 sec slower If i don't miss the 3 of 6 u talk about Thx gona try it soon

When I U-turn I, I randomly lose all speed and get launched back, sadly my D-pad is one of those cross-shaped ones that are one button instead of individual buttons for each direction. What can I do? Switch doesn't allow you to remap down to another button

Daydream I’m facing the same problem. On other tracks it’s not a huge problem but when you have to keep down held for a long time while switching back and forth between left and right it seems very hard. Personally I ordered a third party controller with a programmable button.

Isaach Palmer I do like analog! I would actually prefer it. I just don’t seem to able to consistently get the right angle with the diagonal. That’s actually why I want to get the new controller. So I can use analog easier :)

Turbo Track is hell

Just a tip for anyone who's super struggling with this track - you don't have to use speed. I couldn't do it with speed, and beat it in about half an hour with drift. I was having an awful time with this track, came 0.5s away from Willy P and didn't play for 2 weeks because I just didn't want to do this stupid track. When I came back I was even worse, not even ranking in my top 8 times! I decided in a last ditch effort to switch to drift and it made all the difference for me. It made the W section way easier and it meant I could stay closer to the grass when power sliding because of the extra control you have!

Yes speed engine can sometimes be so fast it's hard to control

I Can Do The U-Turn Part Just Fine. The Hard Part For Me Is The Grass Cutting And The Reserve Management. Very Hard Track Indeed.

I think the main problem in this map is not the Dev ghost but the track it self. The most stuipd thing in this track is the blue flam pad and the Z area of the track.

Turbo track 2 and half hour but out of time 3 f ing hours for me to finally win.

Drift is possible for Turbo track btw.

Since I switched the u turn to R2 to replace down, its helped a lot, was able to beat hot air with that. Im going to switch to drift as speed I simply dont feel comfortable due to the lack of turn. For me control is more important than speed. Ill keep trying. Around 200 attempts in and 0.06 off

Turbo track was actually one of the easiest dev time for me, and you can pretty much do it with accel or drift as well!

This track is inhumanely difficult. It may as well be impossible.

Every other track was alright after numerous attempts but turbo track is mega bullshit, especially playing on the nintendo switch. Only fucked up stage i can't do.
