I love it! Never realized how easy it is to construct a mine. Now I know what else I can use my DR11 tubes for!

I got a star plate kit from skylighter for Christmas.. Considered buying the turbo pyro tool set, still may... Or maybe just a rocket/stinger tool set. Nice rundown of the projects in the kit.

On your hummers.. try adding about 5% course charcoal to the mix after ball milling... amazing effect. The mesh size I forget. :)

@@thisoldminer You make the lift charge the same way. Mill your kno3, charcoal and sulfur (75:15:10) +5% dextrin in a ball mill. Then choose how you want to granulated it based on the materials you have on hand. A 4-mesh screen, one with 1/4" size square openings works best, but you can use a regular coarse kitchen screen and get decent results if you dont have a 4 mesh screen. The only difference I noticed is the 4 mesh screen tends to produce slightly harder grains since the grains are larger and some need to be broken up with your fingers. Once the BP granules are dry I personally put it all in a kitchen screen and shake it around a little bit to remove all the fine particles and done. Put it in the container you want to store it in and use as needed. For lift charge you want to use 10% of the shells weight. So for example a 5" shell that weighs 673 grams should get 67.3 grams for lift. I usually just round it up, so 68 grams of lift. This works well until you get up to larger size shells over 6" then the amount of lift needed decreases as the shells get larger because of their heavier weight 10% lift is not needed. As a rule of thumb though anything you make under 6" 10% shell weight for lift will work well. Hope this helps.

If you mix only 75-15-10 and granulate 12-20 mesh no dextrin or sgrs it will still compact and creates no dust also makes it hotter burn because kno3 incorporates into charcoal more Trust me I have 20 +years of knowledge
