The bit of Fairy Tail no one seems to talk about when they try to say how bad it is: the truly tragic stories of each character. Natsu is a demon created by a dark wizard as a replacement for a dead brother, abandoned, raised by a dragon, and abandoned again, thrown through a portal to fight a monster he had nothing to do with. Gray watched his whole family die at the hands of a demon, and then again lost the woman who took him in and gave him everything because of his own arrogance. Erza and Jellal were child slaves, with Erza having hope ripped from her at her one moment of triumph, before being forced to abandon everyone she had come to care about and to be hated by them. And Jellal, who loved her, was possessed and forced to do all of this, and to use those same people he and Erza cared so much about to continue the work of the people who enslaved them. Mirajane was so heavily traumatized by watching her younger sister be murdered by her younger brother that she more or less broke and became a completely different person. Said brother had to live with the fact that he killed his little sister. Hell even Cana's abandonment and Lucy's isolation and emotional abuse are about as dark as it gets in other series, and they had probably the best life of any main characters. That's why everyone fights so hard for the guild and why they all care so much. It is literally the only thing any of them have left.

gamester512 I honestly think Irene is just a psychotic liar pretending to be Ezra’s mother. She was trying to mess with Ezra’s head but it ended up failing. Erza walked away knowing Irene was not actually her mother and that Markarav is the only parent she knows.

Anyone else really feel for Irene? She was a noble, kind and gracious queen, she protected both dragons and humans alike. And how was she rewarded? She was imprisoned, shunned and exiled, she was forced to endure an eternity as a dragon, and when she finally had an out, she finally had Erza, she couldn't bring herself to harm her. Irene really did deserve so much better.

1:53 the build up after this part is so beautiful and fucking emotional it makes you think of all the terrifying things those people and characters were put through in the tower of heaven arc, wishing for freedom. I’m so sad rn

Jellal is the true victim in this. He was not in the driver seat and forced to kill his friend and others, as we know he's a much brighter spirit than the one we seen in this arc. To me he is the unsung hero of the show, forced to battle his inner demons, face the sins he did not commit. He will always be my favorite of the show.

As I once said, its easier to die and let go of everything, all your pain, your suffering, and give up fighting for a cause. Then it is to live to fight another day, but have to indure the severing of a lifelong bond. It happened to me in real life when i and my dad argued with my grandpa and he left the house. And was murdered in a taxi by a group of thugs looking to knock him out and take all his money by injecting him with a siringe and hitting him in the back of the head with a hammer. He was then left to die on the side of the road to not be heard from for almost 2 weeks and likely suffered and died from starvation. Weeks later My dad wasnt even able to go to his funeral since his body was taken across state borders and my grandma did a private ceremony without inviting most of the family. His grave sits with many others in a small field across town from where my family in mexico live. I still remember his smile. I always tell myself if maybe i had given him more attention or maybe been less of a stuck up ediot who ignored him all the time maybe he would still be alive. 😢😔 That is why i belive in this so much, but i know moving forward is always the best course of action. Living in the past wont change anything. All i can do is prevent it from happening again by showing love to those around me instead of ignoring them and letting them fade.

I play this when im alone and withiut things to do. Even now, im alone in my room, the door locked, the blinds closed. This honestly fits my book. I do think about fairy tail listening to this, but its not the first thing on my mind. This song helps me to come to terms with my current situation. Right now i have noone to talk to. Im lonely. I want to be noticed. But i dont want to talk to people. One of my best friends went missing almost 2 weeks ago. Noone has seen or heard from him since june 4th at roughly 845 in the morning. A missing persons repory has been put in. I hate to think the worst but thats all i can do when there is nothing on him. Thinking about how he just disappeared reminds me of my childhood. All the times my mother threatened her life. All the times she felt like a failure. Ive felt like a failure several times too. We gave been through so much together. My mother and i. We and my older sister have a strong bond between us. My frirnd has never had that kind of family relationship. He may not be the brightest but hes not stupid. And he wouldnt have just left. He was even telling his boss how much he loved the man who took him into gis home and has been helping him back onto his feet. How much he loved hanging out with me and my family. How he felt at peace and how he felt like he had a real family. Like he was loved. Ive been worried sick and so has the man whos helped him. And on the tpoic of fairytail thoughts, all of the sad moments come back in a beautiful ray of memories. Especially the one ftom the picture. Ok im done now
