Would the adapter in ts-a1670f fit a 1998 Lexus ES300 front door speaker? The factory speaker is a pioneer but has a custom metal adapter attached to the speaker. Planning to replace them with ts-a1670f if the adapter works for my car. Thanks

The metal speaker mounting plate from the factory 20 years ago is exactly what Multi-fit adapter included with the Pioneer TS-A1670F is used for. The Pioneer website is telling me the only models that will fit my 2009 Honda Accord LX-P Sedan are the TS-A1675R and TS-A1676R but these are discontinued models. The only available model to purchase that supposedly "fits" is the TS-A652F. Are those comparable to the discontinued models?

Kohv They are the same size as the other models. One thing to note is that the frequency response is a little bit different. The discontinued models could go 5hz lower at 32hz with the new ones being at 37hz as the lowest frequency but the Pioneer and Polk 6.5’s in general can hit the lower frequencies better which might be important if you are not going to use a subwoofer.

Hi, how should I compare component TS-A652C and component TS-A1600C? As I planned to put a component in front door and TS-A1680F at rear door. Thanks in advance for your advice.

The Pioneer TS-A652C is the North American version of the Pioneer TS-A1600C. Other than the color of the speaker cone, the products are very nearly identical. You can't go wrong with either one. TS-A1675R is from 2016. A very good speaker and a good value. TS-A1670F has better power handling capability. Also a very good speaker at a good price. Depending upon your vehicle and installation you may need to buy adapters to mount the speakers in the doors. Many vehicle need the adapters. The adapters are included with the Pioneer TS-A1670F. TS-Z65CH is a much better speaker. It's over all tone and the transition between the tweeter and the mid bass driver are excellent.

Can the TSG1620F be combined with the TSA1670F

Sure no worries. You can use these two speakers together no trouble. You'll find the TS-A series speakers have higher power handling capabilities, so please be aware of this if you are using the same amplifier to operate both the TS-A speakers and the TS-G speakers. The tweeter can be installed in any direction. This depends upon the installation and the speaker location. It's up to you, and what sounds best in your vehicle. I recommend to be consistent with both sides of the dashboard. If the speaker locations are very near the outside edge of the vehicle, put the tweeter toward the middle. If the speaker location is closer to the middle of the vehicle, put the tweeters toward the outside. If you want to put the tweeters closest to the door, do that on both sides. @@deckerdotto6035 Thanks for reply, my Pioneer speakers are similar to the 3way speakers similar to those in this video . These coaxial speakers are placed on the very edge of dashboard, at the default location of factory speakers. They are unfortunately facing against windshield. Should i just try different placement(on both sides simultaneously) while playing a music and then let it be in position which i think sounds the best for me? Thanks :)

I recommend to test with the tweeter toward the middle of the vehicle and then test in other positions. Choose the tweeter position that works best for you.

You did not mention what type of in-dash receiver you have in your vehicle. In most cases, the in-dash receiver should be capable of operating the Pioneer TS-A1680F speakers. If you are looking for clearer sound quality, an amplifier will make life better. An inexpensive small amplifier that will fit under many front seats is Pioneer GM-A3702 would work great. Pioneer's new TS-A series speakers have: 1. Different woofer cone material in new speakers. 2. Different midrange materials. 3. different tweeter materials and type of tweeter. 4. Mounting adapters are included for loads of different vehicles. So you don't need to by additional speaker adapters. Please note, both the tweeter, and super tweeter on the TS-A1680F are piezo type, and not traditional electromechanical voice coil operation. They operate by attaching a piezoelectric crystal to a lightweight PET diaphragm. During playback, the crystal will vibrate causing the PET diaphragm to in turn vibrate. Although they are the same diameter, the wave guides installed on each tweeter are designed differently and will operate at a different frequency band. The Pioneer TS-A652F will work great in the back deck of your 99 Saturn. Do you need an amplifier? Amplifiers make life better and you'll love having one. You did not mention what in-dash receiver you have, so I'll take a guess that you have a Pioneer receiver with RCA outputs. A great amp would be the Pioneer GM-A6704. Hello what's your opinion on the TS-A1680f 4 way speaker? I have these and I feel that there is no basis what's so ever. Now I'm not saying I was expecting a BOOM because I have a 10inch sub for that but just for speakers I expected more out of the 4 way A1680f. Maybe I'm doing something wrong?

The Pioneer TS-A1680F has very good bass output for a 6.5 inch speaker. There are a number of things the may be effecting the bass performance of the speaker. 1st, do you have a crossover on the speakers? If you are using an HPF from the in-dash receiver, or in-line , maybe you need to lower it's crossover point to these speakers. 2nd, Are you sure the speakers are in phase with one another and the other speakers in the vehicle? In phase means + to + and - to - on each speaker from it's amplifier. If you get one wire switched around, it will effect the performance. 3rd, the speakers need to be installed in a door, or rear deck or some other area in the vehicle where the front of the speaker is physically separated from the rear of the speaker. 4th, If installed in a door the speaker must be installed firmly with no play in the installation and no gaps in connection area. 5th, if these speakers are installed in an enclosure, the enclosure needs to be 1.5 cubic feet or larger.
