​@arthorspooner2387 as someone who played both versions, i can confirm xbox got the better version.

The big problem with 21 Ignition's driving is the same as 08. The ai and the physics. In NASCAR '08, the physics are if you make contact, you get YEETED in the opposite direction like the other car is a trampoline. In 21 Ignition, you get almost permanently stuck to the ai car if you make contact.

The PS2 version is way better

08 on the ps2 at least was one of my favorites, looks like a different game looks like 09 and that game sucks I never played online but the solo was just horrible

The only excuse for the AI pitting that i would accept would be EA took into account that the track needed a repave badly in 2008 and that didn't happen until 2010.

Somethings to try and make it better Try putting in a custom setup (these cars are loose right out of the box) Try a different track (Daytona & Dega are stupid hard compared to the others) Try it on a wheel (apparently it drives better on it) Finally oh IDK try another game that’s easier to control

I found this game in my dads 360 games collection a few years ago. I was wondering if it was just a skill issue or if this game was just genuinely unplayable, good to see that I’m not trash

this game really isnt that bad on hardcore imo You just have to drive really smart and make sure you qualify well. Being super aggressive is never going to work in this game lol

Yeah as someone who also played 08 on Xbox 360, The big issue is You can't saw on the wheel like the PS2 Titles, You have to be really precise with the wheel, and keep contact with the AI to a minimum, after a bit of practicing the Game actually becomes really easy

Idk if anyone tried to tell you this and you didnt notice or ignored it. But im a game physics dev for that game engine... so believe me when i tell you. You need to either use a 900* wheel or turn on the steering assist if you insist on using a controller.

09 was the worst I think it always froze

I’m pretty sure you’re spose to use traction or stability. Just one of those, when I played this game online you had to use one or the other I can’t remember which one it was

It’s not that hard. Played in leagues on Nascar 08 & 09 on Xbox 360. Probably your issue is that you’re using the default setups. It’s not a game where you can be super aggressive either. Daytona & Dega no assists and then every where else Steering Help on High.

Dude, it's not the controller. It's the game. I have tried incessantly for well over a week to win a race. I just can't. I can barely complete a lap safely.
