Truly amazing to see Hayden take on this massive job single-handedly... Such a neat systematic way of raising walls in a safe manner...

Hayden is a genius ,but I've said the before .Raising that beam into position was a joy to watch and may I say"As safe as houses". It's good to see all the great progress, your life has sure changed from when you were navigating the narrow lanes in Snowdonia Wales and venturing on to the continent all with a Caravan in tow. Then doing the same thing in NZ showing us your beautiful country whilst based in an orchard. Now you've got a wonderful man in Hayden and a bonny lad in Resse and your dream house coming along just great It's been wonderful to watch Karen ,all the luck in the world Take care.and have a great summer. Cheers to you all from me in Canada

Raising that beam was much better organized. You and Hayden worked together great on that one. The house is really coming along. I'm glad Hayden had other help as well with raising the other framed walls. Reese has to be watched every second now as he is much faster while exploring.

WICKED 👌😃 Coming along nicely!! ... "Poetry in motion" watching Hayden in action! A very able-man!! He reminds very much of my fav uncle Dave who was my only male role-model as a growing youngster. A hero like Hayden and my uncle Dave are a must in every family. Karen, you too have always demonstrated an awesome 'can-do' attitude on your travels. Equal to that of Hayden. Who was your hero/heroine growing up?

Hayden’s going great guns there Karen, with you as site Forman ( I’m sure 😁). You already have a beautiful location, just as important as the build imho. The house is coming on a treat . Can’t wait to see it finished.

Nice job Hayden Just a thought you could apply a veneer to the beam once your roof is on it’s not that hard just a bit fiddly honestly though everyone’s attention will be drawn out the windows with your amazing views 😊

Very good progress. Hayden could always cut this thin strips of veneer to cover the exposed surfaces of the beam. Likely would be better wood than the beam. Dave.

Though you have already painted the beam if you wanted the natural timber look have you considered skinning it with 9mm plywood? Glue and brad nail it on. Just a suggestion 😊

I like Hayden's method of beam lifting. If you have more people available, try this instead "Roof Beam Raised with No Crane" by Home Performance channel.

I would've planed that beam to with in a cm of its core to have it unpainted. Was there a time issue? Nevermind I'm excited to see plans or drawings, CIG of the home.

Its a shame that the large beam was not sanded? Or does the printing on it seep in? Otherwise looking great you guys....next thing you know you will have a house :D

The ink they used went in quite deep. I did try sanding it, but it was a lost cause. I may cover it. Undecided.
