I have noticed that if your units are "Surrounded" at the coast with or without a port, they simply get snapped out of existence even at full strength and organization... it has destroyed so many campaigns that were stalled out due to beefy defense focus units from the AI. Other then end to end line reinforcements repeatedly for nothing, and Air Support that seems to think the coast in your capital needs the assistance with no enemy aircrafts that is on the other side of the continent you are fighting on, I personally hate the Thanos snapped units the most cause you can't for any small amount of chance you may have had if it didn't happen instantly with no sign save them, and you are still at a loss since most would die trying to leave the port anyway, maybe even before they are able to Leave. and that is true pain

Over supply can be avoided in land that you occupy yourself. The AI will only send you help if you have less divisions than them. By deleting the majority of the army more allies met this condition and helped in destroying supply. If you need more divisions to stop the AI bothering you, you can just recruit loads of divisions with a singe infantry battalion (and delete them if you ever need the help). Note that a lot of the time the land was not occupied by UK so this couldn't have been used in those instances.
