man this dlc is looking to be one of the most detailed yet, I'm really liking the approach paradox is taking of larger, less frequent dlcs(at least for hoi4, we don't talk about eu4 DLC). kind of disappointing that they added a focus tree to the baltic states and not finland, but other than that this seems like a DLC that won't be complete dogshit on release(well you never know but I can hope)

Pretty sure they are waiting with the Finland focus tree until a Nordic content pack. I would probably agree that this DLC could have used a Finland focus tree more, but eh, at least the Nordic content pack seems to be one of the next ones. (I believe the next is either SA or Nordic)

This is the kind of change that was labeled 2.0 in Stellaris and Imperator. Only reason it’s not here is how popular the game is. IMO.

Stalin was every inch the motherfucker he gets accused of being. he was, however, funny. as evidenced by the fact that he had a favorite Stalin joke, which 1. was an entire genre of russian joke back in the day 2. Stalin would tell any time he wanted to lighten the mood. "Comrade Stalin is giving a speech to the Politburo. Like Comrade Stalin so often does, he is going on and on. And then, mid-speech, one of the Politburo sneezes. Stalin is furious, and says "WHO DID THAT! SPEAK UP!" Noone speaks. Furious, Stalin orders the first row of the Politburo in attendance shot. And then he repeats. "WHO DID THAT. SPEAK UP." Noone speaks. Again. And again, Stalin calls in the NKVD, and the second row get shot. "ONE LAST TIME. WHO DID THAT. SPEAK UP."
