Their the most known, the famous brand is PLAZMA CAKE, is famous all around former Yugoslavia, you can find it in every store across former Yugoslavia).

The most Serbian thing is Medeno Srce for sure... and Plazma but you need to mix it with not too warm Milk and add bit of honey on top. I love how you put Jaffa on no1. spot which is really true compared to all you had today you have good taste! You two and Gizmo are so cute we will adopt you in the end. Now that Jaffa and Bananica and all those rest snacks flowing through your veins you are now partly Serbian :) Cheers! Have fun!

@@GizmoAndCompany It's nice with something salty also like Chipsy... btw I worked for Canadian company for many years that is based in Québec City. Canadians have good personality I really appreciate that quality of people there. I never visited but worked online with many different people and most of them was very nice.

One tip from a local. Since he likes milk. Try and hava bowl of plazma crumbled in a milk and you will find out what is Nirvana😂. Im 44 and i still eat it since i was a little kid, and as well as my kids. Really majority of us loves that combo. No sugar needed.

​@@GizmoAndCompanyIt would be good to visit Požarevac and its surroundings.The city where Plasma is produced and often the whole city smells like Plasma Biscuits. The town of Smederevo is located near Požarevac, and has a huge medieval fortress next to the Danube. Also not far from Pozarevac, next to the Danube there are two beautiful and attractive medieval fortresses Ram and Golubac fortress. I am sure that it would be interesting for you to come and see this part of Serbia.

@@nemanjaugljesic8911 Thanks : ) Does it get colder at night during the summer? Here in California on the coast...we always need a long sleeve shirt at night even if the day is pretty hot. Would I need to pack any long sleeve tops? also would I only need shorts? It would be that warm? Is it socially ok to wear shorts? I have not been to Europe for over 20 years! haha : ) Some churches do not allow entrance if you are wearing shorts maybe...I think that was in Rome??

Both Jaffa cake and munch mellow are originally British snacks, Jaffa cake is still produce in UK, not sure for munch mellow. Factory Crvenka from northern Serbia bought license and technology for production in early 1970’s and perfected cakes. Bananica was patented by one cake maker of Hungarian origin, who lived in Serbia, he won lots of international awards before WWII, for his original cake, and one snack factory from Belgrade started massive production of same, making that smaller version a snack number one in former Yugoslavia. Just some interesting facts for you. Greetings and enjoy your stay.

Yep, these are the classics. Probably there are several more because food industry is one of the rare things that survived transition, sanctions etc. Decent quality, cheap and strong attachment to domestic product ("product penetration" hehe), hard for global brands to sqeeze in.

Smoki, Bananice, Plazma all of this same products you will find in Montenegro, people love them there also. Kotor is a cat city (they saved the city from the plague by hunting mouses ). Herceg Novi is also close (has tri old medival fortress and island Mamula is 20 minutes by boat from there (couple years ago mystery movie Mamula is made by Americans )

@@suzannstrohmaier2578 All Slavic languages are more or less "close" to Serbian, although we can't understand quite each other, often. Croatian language is 95% same as Serbian.

Unfortunately, the Plazma factory "Bambi" was bought by Coca Cola. 😡 You got it right compared to other foreigners! You instantly tied Plasma with baby food, which explains the mild taste, low sugar. Plazma is really certified for babies. Other foreigners grade it as "weak taste", which is true, but are not aware that the category limits the taste.

I am sorry but way you ate that manchmallow was a crime 😉 . There are specify steps how to eat a manchmallow in Serbia. 😄. You divide cookie form the marshmallow. Then eat a chocolate around it. Then you eat a marshmallow and in the end a cookie. Only proper way to eat manchmallow.
