I have a 1964 ford 4000 high cropper with selecto speed works great !

We had a 59 981in the 70s. It sang slightly in 9th and 10th. I now have 981D and it sounds like yours. The old 141 Ford oil was thicker and took care of more cushioning than the synthetic stuff you have to use now. Mine is just a parade machine these days. I bought it because of a promise. I then had to make another to my father when he saw it and after I shared my promise with him.

What year and model is this? Looks just like mine and I’m trying to figure it out.

Do you have to downshift through all the gears to get back to neutral?
