Update: I made this video a little over 2 weeks ago and I'm still using the same Gekko Soft but it's now in my MR04 with 4100KV motor. The total laps I've put in on this tire is 1145 laps and tires are now almost slicks. Because the car is slow (4100KV motor - AAA), I don't feel like the rear is loosing traction. I'm going to keep the same tire in that car for a while. I also tried it in my RX28 with 2500KV motor (LiPo) and when the tires were new, the traction was very good. Almost like the Marka 15 radials but as soon as the treads are low (not slicks) the traction is a little less that I had to back off the throttle coming out of a turn. Backing off the throttle vs not backing off is .20 seconds difference using the same brand tires (New vs Old tires). Using a new Marka 10 Slicks (my go-to tires), the lap times were the same as Gekko Soft when the Gekko's were brand new and .20 seconds off when the Gekko starts loosing its tread. In the MR04 with 8500KV motor (AAA), the tires had plenty of grip. No noticeable loose in traction anywhere even when the tires were almost slicks. Both Gekko Soft and Marka 10 slicks were taped on PN F1 wheels.

Why not run +3 front wheels on the jomurema? I run +3 front and rear on my box stock jomurema but now you have me wondering if there is a better setup...

MR04 have wider frontend. If you run +3, the wheels would stick out of the body.

Hi buddy, from one of your video u mentioned that you removed the PN Racing motor mount and revert back to stock mount. Is there any reason behind it? Thabk you sir!

I want to keep the car as simple as possible. Also the stock mount is really good because it keeps the motor flat (LCG). It also has adjustable height via diff shaft cups.

Hey Justin, No not yet and thanks for reminding me on that. I forgot I want to try the Marka R 20's. I have just been trying out Kyosho 30's front (MR04 only not in my RX28) and Gekko rear tires.

Do you ever Glue your tires? And would you recommend it?

Yes on my race cars. Not my MR04 unless I plan on racing this car, then yes, I’d glue the tires too. If you check my other setup videos, my other cars have glued tires. Yes, I highly recommend gluing your tires for racing on cars faster than box stock. If box stock racing, use Route 246 tire tape.

Hi, If the Jomurema body with Lexan roof and spoiler is allowed, that would be my choice for race body. If only Kyosho body is allowed, I would suggest the McLaren 12C GT3. Jomurema is my go to race body. When just playing around, the McLaren and the Audi R8.

You’re welcome. I personally like these wheels: PN Racing Mini-Z 2WD Machine Delrin Cut Black Formula Flanged Wheel Offset would be: 1.5 front, 3 rear Diameter: 19 or 20mm (I use 19mm)
