Nice experience with lupis! ❤❤😂 If you are still in Jogja, plz try snacks and breakfast foods in legendary shop named Trubus in Jl Diponegoro (kranggan market area), near mbah Satinem. You are suggested to come in the morning around 7. You can enjoy a variety of local traditional snacks and small packaged breakfast menu there.

Jogjakarta, my home town, all the food is sweet....yummy...enak... 1. A rare food is named "Kipo" you can find at Kotagede at south of Jogjakarta. Usually only can find during Ramadhan Festive. 2. Bakmi Jawa Godog or Goreng - you can browse which one you would prefer, because all is yummy 3. Soto Jogja - there is several legend Soto Seller in Jogja 4. Brongkos (eat with rice/ nasi) - a brown soup dish with tofu, meat dice, etc...

Don't forget to buy batik clothes there, because you will look more like a very beautiful and cool local person...... because in every region and city in Indonesia there are different motifs and colors for batik clothes...

We have klepon in Singapore and Malaysia too, but it is called onde-onde (pronounced as "on-day"). It is pandan flavoured glutinous rice balls filled with grated coconut and palm sugar. It is pretty easy to make and there are lots of recipes online.

In Sumatera, Klepon is also called onde-onde. However, there is also another Onde-Onde in Indonesia that doesn't look like Klepon, instead they're sesame balls with mung bean paste similar to the Chinese Jiandui. Usually in places where Klepon refers to the green balls, Onde-Onde would refer to these Sesame Balls. It's quite easy to misrefer Onde-Onde in Indonesia, depending on where you live.

If you in jogja please explore Kabupaten Gunungkidul you can look beauty beach as like bali ,GunungKidul paradise in jogja .(Indrayanti beach,Baron,krakal ,kukup beach,Ngobaran ,Ngrenehan ,sepanjang beach ,etc .)

Honestly lupis is different with lontong,lontong is rice cake,while lupis is from sticky rice,lontong Mostly for savory dish to replace rice,while sticky rice usually used for snack(like lemper/lupis etc)

Oh I see, you haven't tried Es dawet yet, it traditional sweet drink, very refreshing. In java it called dawet but in Jakarta it call cendol basically the same anyway
