Just on a light note, use a spoon to scoop up rice (traditionally hands). Using fork for rice is like using chopstick for spagetti 😅. So yeah, rice with hands or spoon, no fork 🤘🏻

Everyone thinks that Indian food is spicy! But its the spice actually which makes indian food flavourful! You can choose your preference in restaurant like whether u wanna go for low spice, medium or extreme! Its upto you! Indian food is soo good, and if you are someone who is vegan uh should try indian food because it has so much of varieties! You guys should definitely check out more Indian food! P.S- yes you are right we should mix and match the curry and the rice while eating naan or any kind of indian breads you should scoop the curry and the chicken, then eat it! And pls dont eat the whole naan you should tear up the naan into small pieces, scoop the curry and eat it! Btw you can enjoy in whatever way you like.. but we most Indians do in this way! Some of the recommendations i wanna give- For starters- tandoori platter, pakoda, momos, samosas, vada pav, pani puri etc For main course- butter chicken, naan, rice, fish curry, mutton curry, paratha, kulchas, chole masala, bhindi masala ( bhindi is okra) you can also go for indo chinese like chilli chicken, chicken fried rice, hakka noodles, etc For dessert- rasmalai, gulab jamun, jalebi with rabri, kulfi( indian ice cream) etc The list is endless😂 Btw great vid keep it up 👍

Curry is a sauce & different curries will be different depending on the blend of spices used & method of cooking. So when you say it has curry means that it has sauce. But not everything is sauce also

We been missing out for so long! So glad we tried it!! It will definitely be in our rotation of favorites meals!
Good to see you guys enjoy the food. You guys got it almost perfect. We usually start with the breads & the curries when the breads are still warm & not elastic & chewy. But we dont just dip the breads in the sauce like you guys did, but we also keep the meat in the bread & eat it like a sandwich. When the bread gets over, we then pour everything on the rice & clean it all up. We never add the rice to the breads and eat them together. Next time get some other cuisine from India. What you had was mostly Punjabi cuisine.

So, here's the thing: Indian food is NOT something you can have on its own. It's not a pizza or a burger or pasta that you can have just on its own like that. It's always something WITH something. Like, naan WITH butter chicken, rice WITH daal, roti WITH tadka, etc. etc. It aches my heart when you (and all other white people) just take a dry piece of naan and start chewing on it.. like, what !! Also, just dipping a little bit into the gravy is also just as bad - no, you have to scoop out some of the gravy pretending the naan is a spoon, and THEN put it all in your mouth, not just do a little dip. Anyway, glad you came out of the bubble and decided to try out the most flavourful cuisine in the world. Keep it up! 🙂

Those are some crazy prices. €20 for chana masala... I really don't understand why Americans don't watch how Desi people eat naan. The serving bowl is not to be used to eat from. You take the curry from there, and put it on your plate. You don't eat the curry alone with out the carb because its over powering. You use the bread like utensil and you pinch the curry with the bread. If the meat is too large , you press the meat with the bread to break it down to smaller pieces. When you guys come to the UK, if you want to try 'Indian', you'll get Indian, Indian and then Pakistani-Indian and Bangladeshi-Indian. My advice go to a place populated by brown faces, there you'll get authentic regional tasty food and its going to be good for the wallet too. Biryani should cost between £8-12. Chana masala £6. £20-50, you should be able to try several dishes. Best Desi Buffet is Royal Nawab. Its about £28 per head but at the very least it gives you a huge selection to try, its good value if you can have 3-4 plates, something I can never achieve. Don't go for any of the fried stuff like wings, fries, hash browns etc..
The word "spicy" seems to have been misunderstood. You might find it easier to ask if the food is "chilly" , "hot" or "flavourful" ? When the "traders" came to India for "spices" , they did not make the trip to India to buy green chillies or red chillies , they came to buy "spices" , like pepper , cinnamon etc , ie flavourful spices. So spicy does not necessarily mean chilli.. We don't eat chilli food everyday, three times a day in India . We're not smashing chillies into the food everyday at home , coz kids n elders also need to eat too 😅 We are not starving them till they learn to eat their chillies. 😅 (When it's cold , then go try sambar & rasam & papad at a South Indian restaurant.)

@@LightfootLife Yes & also , I meant to say , anytime you are told something ridiculous about a culture or people, just assume it's an uninformed bias . Anyway , my elephant is here n I must leave for the office because we have limited parking for elephants in our corporate building. 😅😂

@@LightfootLife Like I said the word "spicy" is often misunderstood, so when you go to restaurant, u need to ask them what they mean by "spicy" ? Hot /chilli spicy , or flavour spicy ? The word itself is misunderstood even in everyday conversation so you need to double check while placing your order So just ask while ordering because many restaurants use that word to indicate chillies. Like I said the word spicy has been misunderstood, like the word "curry", which means , something that is a watery/liquid based dish. It's not actually a particular dish. Anyway , glad that you tried the food inspite of all the stuff you had been told. My earlier comments were in humor so I hope you had your humor hat on ... Look for Gujrati food , Maharashtrian food , South Indian food , North Indian food , Punjabi food . There are also Hare Krishna restaurants that are purely veg , affordable & might be easier to find. Enjoy

If you go to eat Indian food, then first do some research about it. We also have a method of eating food here. And we do not mix any gravy with rice because first the naan is eaten with gravy and then rice Here we have a variety of taste on our table. We have to choose something from those things as per our taste and create our own unique taste. Don't spread wrong information by describing food eaten in wrong way just to get views because you haven't even get tast properly!
