So happy to have you back home!
It is easy to ride a bike in Belgium because we do not have really high mountains ( or hills) so Belgium is quite flat and so, bike friendly...
Very true!
About food in the restaurants, well we have a very strict control of food . So the food MUST be fresh or your restaurant can easily be closed by the "food police"; SO fresh ingredients are slowlier prepared. This is a health safety point, think of it like that !
We love the fresh food!
Tipping is not an insult in Belgium; maybe you went to the wrong place. Actually there is NO faormal rule for tipping and that is why the tip is mostly not very important in Belgium. So if you gave a 20% tip for a dinner in Belgium, people were mostly surprised ( in a good way !) . No, you are not insulting people when you give such a big tip, just know it is not very common for us... a common tip is for instance you pay 23.45, well you give the rest of 25 as a tip. That is more how it works here
It is European folklore and Grimm tales. Disney tales took inspiration on it.
Of course they don't take your card away. You often need to type a code for the payment to go through.
In the states it’s normal for them to take your card away so it was surprising to us!
Love from Assam 💝♾️
❤❤
So so happy to have you back!!!
We are so happy to be back!
Hi Addison and Mitch, I really glad you spend good time in my country, I am also glad you cameback safe to your homeland and seeing your happy family (6:53 That tear me up, I have 3 dogs and they are my world so this reunion with your dog make me cry in a good way 🥲🥲🥲). I love that you all tried India food before you left! It’s the best! We never had it either until we lived in London! And that did not look like a hole in the wall!🤣 All your comments are exactly the same for us….naan bread is amazing, sauce so yummy etc. Butter chicken is a favorite too…and korma! Now your challenge is finding an Indian place in KC…let me know if you need recommendations!

Love from india 🇮🇳 🖤🤍.
♥️♥️♥️
@@LightfootLife just a small advice whenever u will try Indian food engulf carefully cause they could be spicey , we Indians eat spicey food on a daily basis . Stay safe , stay happy 🤍🤙🏻🖤
@@bidyutmondal317 Thank you!! 😊
@@LightfootLife my pleasure 🖤
Reaction seems genuine.
Very!
Walt never went to the Efteling
The word "spicy" seems to have been misunderstood. You might find it easier to ask if the food is "chilly" , "hot" or "flavourful" ? When the "traders" came to India for "spices" , they did not make the trip to India to buy green chillies or red chillies , they came to buy "spices" , like pepper , cinnamon etc , ie flavourful spices. So spicy does not necessarily mean chilli.. We don't eat chilli food everyday, three times a day in India . We're not smashing chillies into the food everyday at home , coz kids n elders also need to eat too 😅 We are not starving them till they learn to eat their chillies. 😅 (When it's cold , then go try sambar & rasam & papad at a South Indian restaurant.)
We definitely understand now that Spicy is just very flavorful!
@@LightfootLife Yes & also , I meant to say , anytime you are told something ridiculous about a culture or people, just assume it's an uninformed bias . Like Indians eating monkey brains from one of the Hollywood movies. Anyway , my elephant is here n I must leave for the office because we have limited parking for elephants in our corporate building. 😅😂
@@LightfootLife Like I said the word "spicy" is often misunderstood, so when you go to restaurant, u need to ask them what they mean by "spicy" ? Hot /chilli spicy , or flavour spicy ? The word itself is misunderstood even in everyday conversation so you need to double check while placing your order So just ask while ordering because many restaurants use that word to indicate chillies. Like I said the word spicy has been misunderstood, like the word "curry", which means , something that is a watery/liquid based dish. It's not actually a particular dish. Anyway , glad that you tried the food inspite of all the stuff you had been told. My earlier comments were in humor so I hope you had your humor hat on ... Look for Gujrati food , Maharashtrian food , South Indian food , North Indian food , Punjabi food . There are also Hare Krishna restaurants that are purely veg , affordable & might be easier to find. Enjoy
@@ampandit9473 we will! We are excited to try Indian food in America too and compare 😊
I am so glad you were able to keep your mind open and try spice, as it should be instead of getting prejudiced with European neadertherthalic views of your elders, life would be lot of fun!
Actually there are quite a few gluten free options at the restaurants as well as for other allergies but you have to ask the staff there and they can tell you which you can or can not have.
Thank you for the feedback! We did not go to any of the sit-down restaurants, we will have to do that next time. 😊
@@LightfootLife there are quite a few in the park and they are super affordable especially compared to Disney
Don't forget to try the 'Giant'-burger from Quick!
We didn’t try that but heard it was good!!
@@LightfootLife It's my favorite by far!
India's culinary heritage and hospitality is unmatched! No wonder the Brits, French, Portuguese all rushed to conquer 😅
curry is not an ingredient. The combination of onion, tomato, ginger, garlic, cilantro, fenugreek, coriander, cinnamon, anis star, turmeric, salt. and water to give it a liquid texture. this is the base of the average curry.
On my bucket list! 🌹🌷🌹🌷🌹🌷
You would love it!
Those are some crazy prices. €20 for chana masala... I really don't understand why Americans don't watch how Desi people eat naan. The serving bowl is not to be used to eat from. You take the curry from there, and put it on your plate. You don't eat the curry alone with out the carb because its over powering. You use the bread like utensil and you pinch the curry with the bread. If the meat is too large , you press the meat with the bread to break it down to smaller pieces. When you guys come to the UK, if you want to try 'Indian', you'll get Indian, Indian and then Pakistani-Indian and Bangladeshi-Indian. My advice go to a place populated by brown faces, there you'll get authentic regional tasty food and its going to be good for the wallet too. Biryani should cost between £8-12. Chana masala £6. £20-50, you should be able to try several dishes. Best Desi Buffet is Royal Nawab. Its about £28 per head but at the very least it gives you a huge selection to try, its good value if you can have 3-4 plates, something I can never achieve. Don't go for any of the fried stuff like wings, fries, hash browns etc..
400 subs and 12k views makes sense because Indian audience is largest community with 500 million users on KZread. All the best for your journey

@@LightfootLife 🙏👌
Indian food is delicious 😋
It is so good!!
Your opinions: Leffe or Hoegarden? Oysters off the Grand Plas? Chocolate? Waffles? Have you checked out the Waterloo battlefied/museum?
We have not done the museum! Maybe we need to try and squeeze that in before we leave. We have definitely tried all the oysters, waffles, chocolate, and beers! 🍻
The eggs have protection by nature. If you wash them yo remove that protection. Tipping can be seen as an insult. It can give a feeling of "I am better than you". I hated it when I worked in the service industry. Do you think I am poor? Eating out in Europe is a social thing. You are there to enjoy the company, not because you are hungry. And sitting there and having an extra glass of wine is money for them as well. Even when I go for a pizza with friends, it will take 2-3 hours.
That is exactly what we have learned from living here! 😃
If you go to eat Indian food, then first do some research about it. We also have a method of eating food here. And we do not mix any gravy with rice because first the naan is eaten with gravy and then rice Here we have a variety of taste on our table. We have to choose something from those things as per our taste and create our own unique taste. Don't spread wrong information by describing food eaten in wrong way just to get views because you haven't even get tast properly!
Nice try! Keep it up. 😊
Thank you, we will! 😃
Never heard of anyone beeping out music on the radio... O_o;
They censor all music on the radio in the US!
@@LightfootLife 😱
Hi guys I’m new! 😂
And yes, it’s the EFTELING - Walt became inspired by the prices asking 27€ for a hamburger and 🙄4€ for a teabag. Excellent quality time
@@Jacques.dAnjou hahaha that’s the truth 🤣
1st time not good 2 time is good 3 time 👍👌
It was so good!!
Don’t forget the speed train to Paris. Bummed Mitch couldn’t join for that one but how cool that you are so close to so many amazing places. Can’t wait to have you home 💋
I realized I had forgotten to mention that one!! One of the best!
In Belgium they even play the Lily Allen song 'Fuck You Very Much' on the radio.
🤣
oh a ton back then!
The irony is that it's mostly songs from the USA that contain "censorable" words.
Aww such a shame you’re leaving soon but I’m glad you liked living in Belgium! I’m a brit who has just moved to Belgium, having previously lived in the Netherlands, so I am enjoying your content. Have a blast for the rest of your time here and def visit the UK one day if you haven’t already! 😊
I know we are sad to go but excited for what the future holds! Belgium has been such an amazing experience for us that we will never forget. We would LOVE to visit the UK! It is on our bucket list! ❤
As Belgian, I am really glad you guys enjoy my homeland. It's also funny when you speaking about "culture shocks", it's always so funny seeing others being "shock" with things who are normal for me 😆. I wish one day I will visit United States ^^. Stay safe you two, have a nice Sunday 🙂
Thank you so much! We truly have loved our home away from home! You should definitely visit!!
Nice
Thanks!

If u r in Antwerp, then search for Jain food options there. It will be pure vegetarian and very different from usual indian food. Most of the Indian diamond merchants in Antwerp follow Jainism and eat pure veg Jain food. U will get to try food which some of the richest people in Antwerp eat
Thank you for the tip!!🩵
