We really do have a Indian fried rice. There is a wide range of Indo-chinese cuisine in India. Biryani has whatsoever no relation with Indian fried rice and is a totally different cuisine.

Well Chicken Biryani is damn tasty but its not a type of fried rice . India actually has its own fried rice dish . In India there actually is a cuisine called Indo Chinese (Indian Chinese) which incorporates the regular fried rice (which is similar to the Uncle Rogers one but the rice is long grain) and also has another type of fried rice called szechuan fried rice (little bit Spicer than the regular one in taste and the rice is red in color) . Indo Chinese cuisine has a long list of food items like hakka noodles( Hakka referring to the hakka people from China) ,pepper chicken , garlic chicken ,sweet and sour chicken , chicken Lollipop , apple chicken Lollipop and many more. Hence just letting y'all know that Chicken Biryani doesn't fall in Indo (Indian) Chinese category and hence not considered a fried rice. ✌️😊

@@crazyformyshelf7942 It's pulao though and of course you could add szechwan sauce and make the pulao but still it's not fried rice . Pulao is made using spices and fried rice is made with sauces and they both are different cuisines altogether for eg like you can eat raita or curry with pulao and you can eat garlic chicken or pepper chicken with fried rice but of course you can't mix and match them up cause then it won't taste good. Hence tawa pulao is not considered Indo Chinese and for real I haven't seen it in any menu of an indo Chinese restaurant and the authentic types of fried rice which every Indo Chinese restaurant have and which are popular are the two I mentioned . Doesn't mean tawa pulao is not tasty, it's really delicious and flavourful✌️😊

Lemon rice isn't the traditional Indian fried rice and doesn't particularly follow Uncle Rogers approved recipe . Indian fried rice is similar to that of the Uncle Rogers recipe just the rice is long grain .✌️😊

I agree with the comments about biryani. It's not fried rice. Biryani is often made by cooking the rice, meat and spices through "dum" or slow fire. It's an entirely different technique.

In India every state have their different types of fried rice, and I'm from West Bengal so my favourite fried rice which is bengali's most authentic and traditional food called "Basanti polao".❤️

@@thelegend1264 Bro am myself from west bengal but i live in Hyderabad and i went to my cousin sister's wedding last nov and there we were told in the food section, Bhai fried rice ache kintu and i was like ,cool i like fried rice (for me the fried rice is Egg fried rice or chicken fried rice which is the best for me ) and i told them ye get me fried rice and nothing else , and then they served me some white sweet rice ,i tasted it and damn it was the worst thing i tasted . Idk maybe it's not for me i don't like sweets any way so it wasn't for me but I've seen other local people enjoy it . With mutton curry ,not only me but my whole family didn't like it . It was my 1st time tasting it and ye i will still say it's the worst type of fried rice for me!! South Indian break fast and fast food is the best trust me bro .

India also has its own version of 'Chinese' fried rice/noodles. You must try that the next time. Biryani is not a fried rice lol

You also have "Paella Valenciana", which has no seafood. But it can have something like rabbit in it. Mostly it will be served with chicken tho. I lived in Spain near Valencia during my childhood and youth, and had paella very often.

Different rice aroma give different smell when we cook rice you can smell it and identify if the rice are old or aged or new or sweet. When you make rotis or any types of cereal you also feel their aroma as well 🥣

I am upset you guys put in Biriyani in a competition between fried rices. You should definitely try the Indo-Chinese fried rice from Kolkata, India where the Chinese came and settled down, and is the oldest china town of the country. So the recipes are modified a bit to suit the Indian palate and are passed down from original Chinese citizens.

Normally Thai fried rice is not like that. That is menu of "over the rice" but stir fried version. Can be anything : Basil rice (Kaow kluk kaprao), Galic rice (Kaoe kluk kratiam), Curry rice (Kaow pad prikkang), etc.

One fact corrected. Generally, Northern Chinese except northeast Chinese eat far more noodles than Southern Chinese. Northeastern Chinese people prefer rice to noodles since they are not traditional northern Chinese. As for Southern Chinese, it should be separated into two parts, Southwest and Southeast. While noodles are popular in the Southwest, southeastern Chinese would prefer rice flour.

My dad's from Ghana so I've had jollof rice before and it's my favorite

"Western fried rice" in cantonese cuisine also uses tomato and has a similar colour to the jollof!

In Thailand we don't put basil in fried rice. Normally we use onions, tomato,Kana(green vegetables like kale) and little bit of garlic.

I know carribean fried rice is different as well as Latin Depending on where you are, some use mangoes and/or pineapples.
