In today’s video, Jordan demonstrates how using a kettlebell windmill is an excellent exercise to practice as a prerequisite for your barbell bench press. Try this out in your workout and let us know how you like it!
Kettlebell Windmill
- Start in overhead position with KB in hand
- Elbow pointing toward the front of the room
- Feet shoulder width apart
- Toes pointing forward
- Reach hand down towards the floor
- Palm should be facing behind you
- Emphasize rotating your spine to control the movement down and up

Good vid. Ive stretched wrong, or not at all, after bench and regretted it. I'm excited to give this a try and see how it goes.
Are you bending your knees at all? Or is it more like a hip hinge?

Should this be done as ‘warm up’ prior to bench press or is this more of a regression activity ? How many sets/reps would you recommend ?

Yes, its a warm up for barbell bench press. Its for the shoulder area, I'd start with 5 reps or whichever feels right for you.
How much knee bend is recommended??
Isn't that internal rotation when he turned his elbow in? He said external rotation.

No. That is proper external rotation at the shoulder
