Try This! A Recipe to Embrace Failure | Professor Henry Chan | TEDxCUHK

Failure is perhaps an inevitability in life that we all face - whether it is academic, relationship or career-wise. Professor Chan’s talk “Try This! A Recipe to Embrace Failure” focuses on the way people face failure or challenges, dissecting the mental process people have of failure, hoping to provide a new insight on how we can embrace failure during challenges to pave the way to success.
Professor Henry Chan currently works as the Director of Center for Liver Health, and Associate Dean in Global Engagement of the Faculty of Medicine of CUHK, giving over 450 lectures all over the world. He was awarded with the title "Top Ten Outstanding Young Persons in Hong Kong" in 2008, and has since then continued to build up his rapport as a researcher in liver diseases. Henry Chan is Professor of Medicine, Director of Center for Liver Health, and Associate Dean (Global Engagement) of the Faculty of Medicine of CUHK. He is a globally recognized key opinion leader in liver diseases. He is serving as chairman of the Strategic Technical Advisory Committee for Viral Hepatitis for the World Health Organization in the Western Pacific region. He is a very popular speaker with over 450 invited lectures all over the world. The recipient of numerous research-related awards, Professor Chan has authored over 450 journal articles and book chapters. He is the only hepatologist in Greater China rated by Clarivate Analytics as a Highly Cited Researcher in 2018 for production of multiple top 1% cited papers under Web of Science. Prof. Chan was awarded as a Ten Outstanding Young Person in Hong Kong in 2008 for his excellent professional achievement and contribution to the society.
