Shout out to All those who helped Jim to come to this conclusion. Sharing the passion for this hobby is amazing. That being said I'm not being sponsored by anyone. I do consider JIm the creator of R.C.A.D. as a friend. I enjoy the winter crawling videos the best but I watch them all. His mod vids are epic. He is capable of filming and presenting any video on just about any topic. Why is this man not listed in the top 5 Rc Search? 5k of us and less then a handful comment? In my opinion This man needs to be successful at this or we are going to lose him as a content provider. What do we need to do to make sure that does not happen? Like, subscribe, comment? Again just my own thoughts, opinions.

First ever shout out in a video for me. Thank you sir very much appreciated. I’m not the original and would love to give credit to who it was but I don’t remember. I honestly did it because I broke my servo mount for the lift dremeling it down to fit the 1515 castle 2200kv motor in. Ran it that way for about a year but now running something more normal lol. Some said you couldn’t fit that motor so had to do it.

Ha... That's awesome about you shoving that motor into the trx4 "just because someone said it couldn't be done.😆 Lol I like your style! As for the shout out; My pleasure... I totally believe in giving credit where it's deserved.😊👍 And Happy to be the first one to do so as well. 😄 And you going back to the stock servo mount "out of pure necessity" is great, that's how cool discoveries like this are first discovered.👉🏆👈 Thanks for your great comment Will, and many more for checking out the video my friend.😁👍

I found a steering servo mount that relocates it behind the bumper and in front of the axle. Works mint with all the other modification you did! Didn’t need to bend the link ends either. Never liked the design grass as did. Your video was a great help!

250 plus tax before i looked today found it for 209 plus tax . I find you dont need most of the stuff they give you in the kit ! Only need one rear diff cable the longer one then you can put you oem rear cable thats longer in the front, and obviously dont need servo mount or pand hard mount . So your just paying for shocks and longer links . And even the liks might only need the longer link ends not sure about that though . Could aford it i guess but way to much for what you get i find just like trx4 awesome truck and i love mine but with shipping and tax set me back over 800$ . But i still love it !!! And regards for us Canadian doing so great i dont think so maybe if you got 25 to 30 $ an hour . I get aroung 2$ over minimum wage and dont have many bills no car no truck only got small house that i was lucky to get cheap so i have low payments and my girlfriend works same plase i do she has a civic . And prices for everything being so high for everything we dont have much money left over after a month . Everything is way more expensive down here . Just for cheapest satellite package home phone , and 1.9 mbs internet down here was costing us aroung 250 a month . I recently canceled all that and just got a starlink that 160 got rid of my home phone and internet. Now i watch everything online alote of KZread lol . Jesus just gas around 1.80 a litter take all the stuff we actually need food , mortgage ,car ,insurance, internet. Not much left only reason i got trx4 i had to save up . And if id be doing so good and could afford it id buy myself a real bronco !!! Lol eneway cheers and thank and im gona look for that vid when i get the time thanks !!

😮 that is expensive As for everything else... Sounds about right for how it is over here as well.😕 Where about are you in Canada ? Ontario area or further up ? As for the lift kit... Your right you don't need everything that comes in the kit 😁 Although wheelbase does come into play depending on wether you have a 312mm or 324mm 🤔 The 324mm wheelbase version, has to get longer plastic eyelits screwed onto each side of the Rear Links, but the front setup is the exact same length as the 312mm wheelbase links,🤔 Drive shafts have to be lengthened too 🤔 the kit comes with those parts, but ultimately I think that you only need the longer shaft pieces for the Rear drive shaft, and then you can use one of the old rear drive shaft pieces for the front drive shaft.😕 FYI my install video for the lift kit is a complete 1 to 1 Real Time install, I cover everything and then some, and I'm probably the only person on KZread to do that.😕 So it might be advantages for you to check it out, "just to make sure that your not missing anything, and to insure what corners you can cleanly cut. 😁👍 Link measurements for the 312mm wheelbase; Front upper link from center to center on the eyelits is 85.44 mm and 45.65 mm between the plastic flanges on the backside of the front eyelits, basically 45.65 mm of open shaft between the two eyelits. Front lower links are 118.47 mm from center to center on the eyelits, with 79.47 mm of open shaft space between them. The Rear lower links are 129.45 mm from center to center on the eyelits, with 90.45 mm of open shaft length between them. And the Rear upper links are 133.24 mm from center to center between the eyelits, with 90.45 mm of open shaft space between them. "This is straight out of the manual" 324mm wheelbase; Front upper link is the exact same as the 312 mm setup. Front lower links are also the exact same length as the 312 mm setup. Rear lower links are 140.95 mm from center to center on the eyelits, with 90.45 mm of open shaft space between them. And the Rear upper links are 144.74 mm from center to center on the eyelits, with 90.45 mm of open shaft space between them. The 312mm & 324mm rear link bars are the exact same length, the only thing that gets changed to get the longer wheelbase, is the plastic rod ends or "eyelits" The 324mm kit gets longer plastic rod ends 😕 Drive shafts; Front drive shaft for the 312 & 324mm wheelbase has one Short end leading to the axle pinion, and one Medium length piece leading towards the transmission. Rear drive shaft for the 312mm wheelbase requires one Medium length piece going to the axle pinion, and one Long piece going towards the transmission. Rear shaft for the 324mm wheelbase requires one Medium length piece going towards the axle pinion, and one Xtra Long piece going towards the transmission. And all of the drive shafts use the same center piece, "Basically reusing the original center pieces" 😕 And then it's a matter of properly phasing them 🤔 Which is easy to do with the new drive shaft pieces, but might not be as easy with a scratched up shaft,😕 The drive shafts have a dot punched into a spot on the ends of them, and those dots need to line up when you're assembling the two half's together. Kinda like this 👉 •-• 🤔 And once again... I go through all of this in the install video "if by chance you need a visual reference.😁👍

Well anyway mister jim, It's good to know, but not. I am not worried about the traxxas suspension whatsoever, You know, sir. I've been running this little truck around for ten months or so, I just believe traxxas makes some quality equipment I think it drives crawls exceptionally well, The desert lizard shocks are absolutely phenomenal, There are ten timer better than the bloom Shocks,,👍👣👣📹👀 The body details absolutely phenomenal,, ,,,,,

To each their own Kevin 😄 If you're happy with the way Traxxas has that front suspension setup, then more power to you.😄 But in my opinion you're kinda short changing yourself running it the way Traxxas has it set up.😕 As for the Desert Lizards; All I can say "is that I'm not going to drink that Kool Aid, 😄 I personally think that the Desert Lizards are no better than the Boom Racing shocks, and there's not much that anyone can say, that will change my mind about that.😕 Yeah Racing isn't exactly known for High Quality, and I think that pretty much says "all that needs to be said.😕 One thing that no one has done yet "or at least no one has commented about" Is measuring the difference in shock travel between the Desert Lizard 120mm and the Traxxas 110mm shocks, My guess is that the Traxxas 110mm shocks have the same "if not a pinch more travel than the Desert Lizard 120mm shocks.🤔? 😕 But that's just my thoughts on it! Won't know for sure, until someone actually puts them side by side, and measures them.😕 Otherwise though, I Stand on the Front Suspension Modification,🤔 and think that it's a much better way to go vs running it the way that Traxxas has it set up. 😕 But once again that's just me...😄 Lol

@kevinbreaker2683 And I'm not arguing with you about that 😄👍 I love Traxxas too, and I love the High Trail Edition Trx4s, But.. but, but, but, but, but! The High Trail Edition & Long Arm Lift Kit's "Servo Mount/Panhard Bar Mount" Just isn't quite right from the factory 😕 "and there's absolutely no denying that fact,🤔😕 and the Fact that the Driver side Front shock can't Articulate as far as the Right side, and the fact that you can't compress both front shocks to full compression at the same time, Is 100% Percent Proof Positive, That the Front suspension "just isn't right. 😕 Wouldn't you agree Kevin ? How many other Crawlers do you have that are like that ? "Probably Zero" 😕 Not having Equal Front Suspension Articulation, and not being able to Compress Both front shocks at the same time "to full compression,😕 That's not normal for a RTR crawler, wouldn't you agree ? 😕 A stock Trx4 with 90mm shocks has full travel and articulation up front,😕 why doesn't the High Trail Edition ? And what's the purpose for putting 110mm shocks on the High Trail Edition, if your going to put 9mm spacers on all the shock shafts, consequently sacrificing 9mm of the shocks overall travel ? 🤔😕 And the reason for that 9mm spacer is to obviously hide the fact that the Front Suspension wasn't set up right with that Drop Down Servo/Panhard Bar Mount.😕 It's 100% Obvious! I mean what's the point of putting 110mm shocks on the High Trail Edition if their going to limit the travel by 9mm's ?😕 I mean really.... It's kinda false advertising if you think about it 🤔 ? They advertise "long travel" yet they limit the travel by 9mm's 😕 and why do they limit the travel by 9mm's ? And the Answer is... To hide the fact that the Drop Down Servo Mount isn't Quite Right.😕 The High Trail Edition probably has equal front suspension articulation with the 9mm bump stop spacers installed, But once you remove that 9mm spacer from all the shocks "in order to gain full travel" that Drop Down Servo Mount Flaw, is instantly revealed,😕 It's a flaw straight up! There's no denying it, and More importantly, "there's no actual reason for it either, All Traxxas needed to do was move the servo closer to the front of the frame, And they would have had it made.😕 At the end of the day somebody didn't do their proper diligence on the design table,🤔 and apparently covered up their mistake "by installing 9mm plastic bump stop spacers, on all of the shocks,😕 Which was another mistake "since it's limiting the travel" Not only on the front, but on the rear suspension as well, and there's nothing wrong with the rear setup, it Articulates & goes to Full Compression just fine without that 9mm bump stop spacer,😕 The Front Setup is the one that's the problem,🤔 but they had to install those spacers all around, in order to make it appear equal.😕 Or at least that's my thoughts and grand conclusion on the subject.😄 Lol There's no reason for it Kevin... And that's the bottom line brother.😕 The fact that they sell it without the ability to get Full Articulation on the Left Front Shock, and without the ability to Fully Compress both front shocks to Full Compression at the same time, Means that it isn't right,😕 "and once you remove those 9mm plastic bump stops from the front shocks, the problem becomes totally evident.😕 What else is there to say ? 😕 How many other RTR Crawlers on the market are like that ? And the answer would be Zero, The vehicles may all have different length shocks, but I'd pretty much guarantee "that they all have full travel, and equal articulation on their front axles,😕 And the High Trail Edition is the only exception. And what's that mean Jim ? It means that it's not right darn it! 😄 Ha ha ha lol And that's all that I'm going to say about it bro, and saying that it's okay the way that Traxxas has it set up, "is basically like being in denial.😕 And I would have to believe, that any hardcore RC enthusiast would agree with me "about that not being right"😕 Now that we covered that subject, Please don't let that drive a wedge between our friendship Kevin,😕 if you're happy with your Trx4 High Trail Edition "then I'm happy for you as well,😁👍 But when it comes to myself, I prefer to get the most out of my vehicles, without having to add extra ride height in order to gain full suspension travel, or installing 9mm plastic spacers on all the shocks "to limit my suspension travel" in order to cover up a suspension design flaw.😂 But that's just me 😄 lol Otherwise if you're happy with your setup, then I'm happy for you brother. 😁👍🤜🤛👉🏆

Nice work by the way !!! I was looking to make my own lift kit . Woul you have all the measurements for all the links in millimeters??? not paying what there asking way to much especially here in Canadian money lol . I already bought shocks and longer differential cable for front . Only need the links now i think ! Dont thinki got to replace rear differential cable seems long enough when i put longer shocks but not sure

Link measurements; I'm pretty sure that I show that page in the manual "during the install video 🤔 But I'm not sure 😕 How much is the lift kit in Canada ? And why can't you afford it if you don't mind me asking ? All my relatives are from Canada and I mean all of them, my brother and I are the only Americans in our family, "both of my parents have green cards, and have been here since the late 1960's, but the rest of my relatives all live in Canada. And ahhh..... They all seem to have money over there 🤔 definitely a lot more money than what I have to work with 😕 which makes me wonder why you can't afford it. I know that the socialized medical industry over there sucks, but I thought that the general public was doing pretty good on the money end.😕 Anyways.... Check out my install video and see if I show that page in the manual,😕 if I don't... get back with me and I'll be more than happy to get you the measurements myself. 😄👍 Otherwise thanks for your great compliment and for taking the time to check out the video.😁🤜🤛🇨🇦
