I am an American man. I met a Persian woman in Canada. We fell in love and got married. She took me to her home in Tehran to meet her family. Persian people are the NICEST, KINDEST, MOST WONDERFUL people. I wish I could move there but her parents have passed and she died of cancer. She was my angel. I can think of no better wife than a Persian. 100% true.

I had many bad experiences dating persian women when I was younger. Being Persian, it was pushed on me so that didn't help if I'm being honest. Persian people can truthfully be either kind/honest and extremely cut throat. I've met both types. Full disclosure: This is just my opinion and mine only and not judging all persians as a whole. I'm also born and raised in the culture.

I like Russians attitude better than Iranian on this. Let them think the worst...why so many iranians abroad bend over backwards to please them? "We are westernized don't hate me...". in this time and age westerners hold those steryotypes about a nation, none of which they have ever met living in a country far away they have never been to. They proudly admit to their ignorance and hatefull steryotypes and its on us to "prove" we drive cars and defend ourselves? Are those westerners holding those hatefull "views" living in a cave? How it's on me to educate then? It's a diaspora thing thought. I haven't lost hope in iranians livibg in Iran yet.

The word Persian for Iranian is not that specific because although all Iranian are Persian, but not all Persian are Iranian. Long centuries ago, the country named Persia was a big country and current Iran was the main and central part of it, but later on, it broke down to several countries so, when someone says a Persian, they include all those non Iranian people too (such as Bahraini and other Arabs, Pakistani, Afghan, Turkman, Azeri, Armenian, ect). I believe we have to use Iranian in lieu of Persian, as it is much more specific and correct.

True Story, I moved to Ft Lauderdale from Jacksonville. I met this gorgeous woman named Nafhe every word she spoke was beautiful but the way she danced was like nothing I have ever seen just beautiful and graceful just the way she moved her hands, by the third date I was in total love. Coming from Jacksonville I had never met anyone that wasn't a local and working in Miami I assumed she was Cuban on our third date I asked what part of Cuba are you from she replied silly Im from Iran I said OMG Im supposed to hate you this was in 1985 at the time of hostages BUT, it was too late I was in deep and total love. 2 years later we were married and have been married for 34 years, never have I been so blessed Nafhe is my best friend we have worked together side by side for 25 years and my Mother in law lived with us for 27 years and not one argument I cant say that about my birth Mother or anyone in my life she was a gift from God. The love I have felt from my wife, Mother in law, and all the Iranian friends totally changed my life. My wife gave me the most amazing gift that I could never repay she taught me how not to be racist and changed my life forever, my parents were racist because their parents were as well But, my Nafhe changed my parents as well with out saying a word just by her kindness and knowledge you see my wife is 3rd generation Bahai I became a Bahai 7 years after we were married. My mother said the first day she met my wife you better marry that girl. Nafhe is so special I saw a deer walk up to her all animals love her people are amazed. I have been blessed with the love of my life and the great Iranian culture. I cant leave without saying the food is sooooo good to. If I died today its okay because I have received 10 life times of love. Khodafez my friends

I met an iranian couple in turkey and it was the lovliest experience I've had in a long time. Such loving and caring people! Also I am a huge fan of persian poetry and old ancient cultures and spirituality before islamic time. i believe Iran is kinda like a lost treasure in terms of culture and also in terms of the friendliness of the people. I think over the course.of time this picture of it being uncivilzed and just a bunge of islamic extremist with misagonistic and brutal killing methods spread. But if you take the iranian regime away, and the islamic influence, you really get the most wonderful place. Many people dont know that places like iran and syria were the ones who had the first monotheistic religions and were also influenced by buddhism and hinduism. Originally they were even fighting against the islamic regime, where the people got forcfully converted and over the course of time it became the prevelent religion. But you can still see a difference in their attitude vs the attitude of ethinicities which were kind of the founders of islam. It is a shame that the US back in the time interfered so stupidly with its development, making one of the most progressed countries fall into a fundamental collapse. My heart goes out to all those iranians who are fighting for their freedom right now and I really wish they get it and the option to live their lifes without religious restrictions, and eventually regain their power and importance back.
