Always a professional group with integrity. Never hear about them having issues in their long careers, even though naturally there may have been some. Nobody leaving the group, getting fired and coming back that I can remember, just consistent great music. "Straight outta Watts"!

Thank you Scott for interviewing these legends while they're still with us. The Whispers were one of my favorites and as a kid I would always try to match Walter and Scotty note for note. Needless to say, I couldn't do it. Such incredible singers.

I am still a fan till this day i love the scott twins 😊 much love im 30 yrs old much respect your music still moves me till this day.

This is my entire family's favorite group!!! My grandmother, my mom, myself and my kids and my grandsunshine who will be 2 is being introduced to these legends. Thank you so much for the love and light that you have shined on my family.

Saw them live in London in the early 90s. They absolutely nailed it, what legends, thank you guys!

First of all I love Scott Brothers... Twin brothers to be exact ! I being a twin myself I know what it's like to have a " bond", theirs is definitely musical and I'm sure they do love each other and it shows when they open up their mouths and sing! Everyone who knows me knows that the whispers are definitely one of my all time favorite groups. They have so many hits. If there has ever been a group that deserves a lifetime achievement award here they are.

I have loved the whispers from the first time I heard them in the 80’s as a teenager. Their voices and style is timeless! The best goes on’s base and drums is infectious and My ear was trained to this sound so until I found myself hearing it in other songs by various other artists. I learned in the mid eighties that the bass was being played by a guy named Leon Sylvers. I always thought, this is the baddest bassist I’ve ever heard. He hits the mark on every song. I’d always been attracted to the drums and base in any song from a young age and its amazing to me that the majority of the songs I loved from the late 70’s into the 80’s was produced by one man.And I believe that I am just one of many. One year ago, I discovered the group Dynasty. They are now my favorite group of all time because I believe that their talent in all areas is unmatched. That they were not celebrated and recognized much even until this day is a travesty of musical justice and that’s putting it mildly. I only hope that the groups that they helped make famous and rich really appreciate them. What a sacrifice. I can’t say enough for the greatest family group on earth: The Sylvers. You can’t be a student of music and not respect that talent!! They were behind the scenes of a lot of those great 80’s hits as well. My only hope is that they are properly honored some day soon. I hope they know how much they are adored❤️

I was 15 years old. My sister's friend from the radio station WRAPs Frankie Stewart invited me and my sister to meet the Whispers at a parking lot by the Hampton Coliseum (VA) We met Scottie, got his autograph and he treated us to McDonald's. One of the coolest guys ever. Still got his autograph til this very day. Treated us with so much down the earth personally. Thanks Scottie.

The whispers are true legends I loved there music back in the Day and I still listen to there music as of today in 2023 Rip Nicholas and Marcus

As far as I'm concerned I am very grateful to have listened to such wonderful music from The Whispers they have such a way of grasping the energy making you feel full of life

When I was 16 years old I saw the Solar Tour with Dynasty, The Whispers, Shalamar and Lakeside. During The Whispers performance Nicholas was wearing a huge diamond that I could see flashing from the noise bleed section of the area. He was a consummate showman.

In my opinion that record "And the beat goes on" had a very strong impact on the rap sound in Hip Hop during the time.Music legends and one of my all time favorites !The Whispers!

omg I have heart eyes watching this wonderful interview. These gentlemen are legendary in my eye. I would spaz out if I ever met them in person. I couldn't deal. Tears of respect for their inspiration and loving message throughout their career. I grew up listening to them in the background, reminding me that life is better down the line. We had a wonderful time seeing them at the Greek Theater and Phyllis Hyman was the bill with them. The funny thing was the light man got mixed up and had a hard time in putting light on the right twin. GREAT show, love these guy. Good seeing them.

I remember listening to The Whispers in 1964 sing the song called “The Dip” I was only 14 . Their harmony on that song memorized me. I ♥️ their early songs from the 60’s. Lucky us that live in LA because The Whispers are an LA group. The rest in history! Hits in the 70’s 80’s 90’s! I saw them twice 80’s & 90’s. 🎤♥️

as a huge fan of The Whispers this is an incredible interview and background of one of the most under appreciated music acts of the 80’s. These guys played a huge role in developing my musical interests and I and many others are extremely grateful for that. I grew up in New Zealand and The Whispers were huge in such a small country 👌👍😍

I enjoyed the many talent shows and concerts and their rise as the singing group the Whispers. Then the development of their unique sound and dazzling steps, with Magnificent Whispers Band under the direction of the Grady Wilkins Band. During their great run directed by Ken Griffey and Don Cornelius.

I just found this & subscribed. 1st was Hamish /AWB.. now the Whispers.. my favorite groups from 70s in my teens in bayarea... Im so thankful. Keep up great work.

Extremely underrated group The Whispers were inducted into the Rhythm & Blues Music Hall of Fame in 2014 , But Where's The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ? if they can let ABBA and The Sex Pistols in why the Snub for one of the most prolific R&B- Soul -Funk groups of the 70's 80's ?
