By defying Adler and giving him a giant middle finger, Bell breaks free from Adler's control and stays alive, ceasing to be a slave, and becoming a man who can choose their own path. So I don't blame Bell for killing Adler Mason and Woods Adler manipulated and used Bell until the job was done Adler never trusted Bell

Adler in the lie ending: "you could've made something out of yourself kid" Also adler if Bell makes something out of themself: "it was never personal" *kills bell*

Yep. Basically Treyarch decided that BO2 is a direct sequel to BO1 until now when they then come up with new characters Adler and Bell. But in order to make them not exist in BO2, they have them kill each other.

Thus, unlike Roach, Bell has more reasons to be killed for the greater good and unlike Shepherd, Adler has more reasons to kill Bell in order to stop Bell.

the aerial bombardment should've been called anyway, they're dealing with what seems to be retrograde WW2 85mm anti-air cannon not something like SAM site or 23mm autocannons, good luck actually shooting down jets using that gun, and then those anti-air tracers on the skybox doesn't seem to be much of a bother anyway

bruh did you play the game? They where all involved in this Brainwash thing. Hudson even wanted to kill Bell before the ending happened. And theres a scene where you can talk to mason and frank, most of the time they saying mean things when you start the conversation with them. First it looks like theyre making jokes, but i think they just dont want to have anything to do with bell.

He may act as a Perseus agent again, I know because a lot of people are angry at Adler for brainwashing Bell, so imagine when Bell found out he's brainwashed. If anything, Adler did the right thing having to kill Bell. He is tying up a loose end, and this time, it is an ACTUAL loose end.

Honestly this is the first game that had twist that shocked me The campaign is the best

Adler survived, as per Warzone cutscenes. Bell is M.I.A. The timeline after BOCW diverges. One leads into MW and WZ, and the other leads into BO2, BO4 and BO3.

I’m seeing a lot of people defend this ending; Adler’s decision to shoot Bell, how he wasn’t “needed” anymore, and given that he regained his memories, he “could’ve been a risk”. What I don’t understand is, they needed him to find Perseus - so after learning where he supposedly was, why didn’t they kill Bell before? Furthermore, why kill him at all if Perseus is still out there? The importance of his role was made clear. Bell had history with the big man upstairs, and was given a chance to redeem himself by working against a former ally. If I recall correctly, Adler’s words to Bell were “you’re still one of us.” There was nothing that would have suggested otherwise. There was no clear logical motive, or foreshadowing of this decision. It’s as if the writers decided “hey, let’s just throw in a twist with no explanation for the sake of shock value”. Then left it on a cliffhanger, again, never to be addressed. At least, such was the case for Call of Duty Ghosts. Overall it was enjoyable for me, and kept me interested enough to see it through. There were some pretty nice callbacks, some interesting ideas. But the endings we got here felt rushed to me. Or am I the only one that feels this way?

Loved this campaign, but sad ending🥺

0:33 - Solovetsky operation intro looks like a mix of Top Gun and Heartbreak Ridge. I mean, you got F-14 Tomcats taking off into the "Danger Zone" and Marine wheeled Huey helo's carrying Adler's team to the site of the final battle. It's an amalgamation of epic proportions!

Finally a decent campaign.

The true ending is this but Park actually survives in the canonical ending.

well the Vietcong and the North Vietnamese Army took down a couple of American jets in the Vietnam War with those "old time AA guns". It's not that unrealistic after all.

That ending is similar to Shepherd in the final mission of MW2, Just as Shepherd is about to shoot you

Why is that ending scene bringing me flashbacks

I think that Adler lived on, as in multiplayer he’s still alive and it’s set in the 90’s I believe. Or maybe it’s just putting him in multiplayer cause why not, just a theory

This ending is so damn boring compared to the “worst ending.” It’s worse because this ending’s canon LOL Like I solved all the puzzles and got all the evidence, but this is it? And a slideshow at the end? Lame. BO2 did it better.

I mean, no fucking shit? This game takes place before BO2 and has to take into account that none of the new dudes are in it, hence why they die in the end. Secondly, it fits the whole "CIA and Soviets fucking everybody to get ahead of each other" theme by tying up loose ends, especially since the CIA now has massive liabilities running around. This ending is more realistic to me than the Soviet one, since that ending is an idealistic interpretation of what could have happened, but would never plausibly would.

I think Bell shoted Adler first because he is younger than Adler, so his reacton time must be better, and also, if watch closely, you will see, that Bell pointed his gun faster at the Adlers opened chest, when Adler was slower, and if he shoot - he Will damge Bells hand but not to kill him

@@syedabdulrauf4545 It’s ambiguous who gets killed in this ending. It’s likely Adler died seeing as he doesn’t show up later on and you play as the good guys in earlier games but if Bell survived, he probably would’ve just gone into hiding. Which explains his disappearance.
