COD died after Black ops II. BO 1 and MW3 were the last big games that managed to innovate in both storyline, multiplayer, and zombies. Even infected mode was fun. After that, it all became less innovative and repetitive. All the Cod’s based in the future we’re just shit, not relatable, and just felt like a lazy excuse for a COD game, just to keep selling.

Vangaurd deserved the hate, I think ww2 deserved it too. The fact that a Molotov costed 3 kills, the fact that the campaign was mediocre and a half assed attempt of waw story. The fact that you could only choose one lethal/tactical grenade instead of having one of both. And just to add onto all of that, shit maps and little variety of guns

Okay, let’s not push it *that* far. This is actually one of the only CoD’s from this era that I at least understand if you call it underrated, but this is nowhere *near* a masterpiece. Zombies kinda sucked, campaign had potential but was incredibly inaccurate and nonsensical at times, and the progression in multiplayer was horrendous. But it still at least *tried,* unlike a certain other WW2 COD game…

I played WWII for the whole year, which is a whole lot more than I’ve played the last 4 Cods combined. It had some great maps, great gun play, minuscule sbmm, kill streaks that actually worked, upgradable factions/divisions, prestige system & lobbies that didn’t disband. We had it so good back then.

Funny how supply drops were hated at the time, but now they're missed since the only way to get cool skins and weapon variants is through spending like $20 per. I've earned so many nice weapon variants and skins through the supply drops in WWII and BO3 just by playing the game.

I enjoyed WW2 with my friend's, it was a pretty memorable experience for me. Especially the 1v1 area. The Story was absolutely amazing. I go back to it every once in awhile to relive it.

Tbh, I loved this game, it was so simple and medium-paced.

I missed this era. One of the last years of playing with my buddy that passed away. I’ve solo’d COD since and it just isn’t the same!

This game is so nostalgic to me. It came out when I was in 6th grade and I remember always watching gameplay videos on it. I miss 2017 so much. Even though I never played this game, I spent hours watching videos and playthroughs on it.

Campaign aside, no played 3 matches of ranked with my buddy sold it instantly. The ranked system was shit, the hud system for multiplayer was almost as fucked as it is now. The game itself had good gunplay, but the maps were borderline garbage. Okay kill streaks with a completely fucked perk system. This cod was terrible multiplayer wise but was fun to quick scope. The zombies I’m not even gonna talk about that shit. Only credit I’ll ever give this game is the campaign.

I started to play this game for the first time yesterday.. That opening scene as they're making their way to Omaha Beach, the incredible orchestral music playing... It filled me with such emotion... It was literally good vs. evil for the sake of the world. It made me think of the allied forces all coming together to fight the darkness to save the world from evil. All of the lives lost in the process, the hearts broken, the lives shattered, the families destroyed... 15 million dying in battle to help save the world that had already lost over 45 million civilians...

Even still 6 years later, it’s my go-to COD. I still play it all the time.

Call of Duty: WWII is underrated, sure, its hated, but it isnt worst than Call of Duty: Vanguard. Edit: I think i just summoned the only people that still plays vanguard and other people

At the end credits of that game, you can find a message that says "This game is dedicated to the men and women who served and sacrificed in service of their countries during World War II." It shows respect to WW2, while Vanguard isn't.

I enjoyed this game. It brought me back to COD after a 4 year hiatus from all video games. I wasn’t expecting anything I just saw it at the store one night and decided to buy it and play. I also had no idea how big video gaming got within that time. I still thought it was a casual thing.

awesome video bro.. i loved this cod even when it was shitty and hadn’t gotten all the major revisions yet. i had been on a long break from cod because i hadn’t enjoyed the jet pack stuff so i had last played mw3. something else about this game just hits different though, the year 2017, the winter weather and my age at the time i was about 24 years old and it really is a nostalgic time when the friend group kicked it a lot and we had a lot of fun playing ww2 in my garage on my first ever 55 inch tv just knocking down brews and rolling doobies all day and night. all that is attached to this game for me and why it holds a special place in my heart.

I personally really liked wwII. It was a good different. It kind of brought back Big Red One vibes for me. Classic. Zombies was not on par though

I got lucky and got this about 6 months after release and fell in love! Loved the divisions, loved the gunplay, loved the progression and art style. Oh and the sand box level was awesome! And the best weapons of any cod I’ve ever played! Didn’t have to spend a dime and could unlock just about anything with a little hard work

Best game mode by far

Such a great game, I was so obsessed with the game. The zombies had a different take because I’m pretty sure it’s the first “Zombies” (not including extinction from COD ghosts) to add that element of a task instead of running and gunning. (It still holds that element) it also added more horror with LOTS of gore.

WW2 was one of my fav cod Games. It felt like a breath of fresh air. The guns were so much fun, there wasn’t an overwhelming amount of things to do. It felt actually rewarding to play.

So, COD WWII is a great game, I’ve heard that it’s multiplayer wasn’t that good when it first came out, but really, the COD games are about the campaigns. COD WWII’s campaign was one of the most fun campaign I’ve played. Although, the M1919 and MG42 in the single-player mode is a bit odd.

It definitely had flaws when it first came out but it was overall really fun! Biggest thing I found that sucked at first was that in zombies it was a super common for it to blue screen at any random point and most of the time it’d happen when I get most of the way through the Easter egg. I legit got so mad because it happened one day I was a legit second away from beating the last step and it blue screened 🤬

Man.. I remember buying this game at Christmas and staying up all night with the homies playing this over winter break. Good times.

Great video bro ❤ For me and everyone speaking, after BLACK OPS 2 everything went down hill. COD was NEVER the same. They tried to bring it back but they've lost the touch.

Bo3 was a great game too. But you're right: Ghost meh, AW meh, IW meh, Bo4 Meh, WW2 (kinda fun), MW meh, Cold War (had its moments but meh), MW2 meh, Vangaurd meh.

Bought it years ago, and still come back sometimes for single player and love the graphics on the one s. 2nd ww history fantatic, so perfect.

MW3 (2023) is the most hated already

This was my first COD and I played the campaign in every difficulty. I honestly really enjoyed it :)

WW2 was actuslly incredible and is in my top 7 favourite call of dutys of all time and the campaign being in my top 4 best campaigns I've ever played. I really enjoyed the war mode and non stop played it and headquarters was unreal with the amount of free challenges and things to do also the zombies was decent along with the maps.

I remember hating this game at the start but then played it a year later and ended up enjoying it especially war mode

Me and my mate played co-op and we had two AI legends. I had london and my mate had X-Ray. We loved playing multiplayer and the campaign is very realistic with the missions that actually happened in WW2. This game is one of the most underrated cod games of all time.

I was such a fan of this setting and play style it became my all-time favorite COD, it's the only game I've hit prestige master in since Black ops 3. When the game flourished, it was amazing.

Call of Duty WW2 contains a well thought out campaign with a good story, theater mode, emblem creator, paint jobs, map voting, red dots on mini map, an innovate lobby creation with the HQ, multiple party game modes, well designed maps, and a round based zombie mode with a full fledge story and easter egg, enough said. I miss when the biggest things we had to complain about was emotes, supply drops, and the incendiary shotgun lmao

WW2 such a good game the sniping was so clean war mode was fun the armory system was fun to grind for stuff, headquarters was a good addition

COD WW2 was the last game that felt like COD, basically the last time i had fun on COD

I remember watching my dad play the leprechaun event and just being mesmerized by how good he was, in hind sight i don’t know if he was that good but its still a core memory for me

i remember playing ww2 in my senior year of high school and it being the first cod to actually grab my attention since bo2, despite its flaws i still loved every bit of ww2 i tried too have same experience with vanguard but it didnt hit the same. ww2 had amazing smooth transitions from gameplay to cinematic scenes in the campaign not making it like other cods noticing the clear difference from game graphics to cinematography. overall i enjoyed every moment of this game from multiplayer to campaign definitely a replay able campaign and got my first and many “nukes” v2 rockets playing ww2

This game is one of my favorite cods I never understood the hate. Great guns and maps over everything, unique and rewarding class and prestige system, dope ass lobby where you could chill and 1v1 friends, fun interesting skins, one of the least toxic loot box system I’ve ever experienced in a game ( way easier to earn rewards than any cod since then) a good campaign, and great holiday events. Wish they’d do another game like this one day

I didn't play this at launch or in it's lifecycle but got it 2 year's ago in Disc format and to be honest, I love it. I streamed the Campain, made a short about the game not cooperating and it got 1k views during one of the missions. I will do some MP gameplay soon.

One of the things i wasnt happy with about this game was that those extra war maps didnt last very long, they dont come on very often at all. I do think the campaign is very good though.

Call of Duty WW2 was actually a great game! It felt immersive and even emotional.

The biggest Problem until today is that the main game menu is buggy as hell. Or when you play splitscreen it begins to lag when one player opens the menu to choose another weapon or class.

I definitely agree that this game was underrated. Although it still has some issues that can't be fixed such as forced diversity, censing history, boring zombies mode, loot boxes, and a short campaign, COD WW2 was a really good game. The campaign was great when it came to the squad of soldier you would fight alongside. Pierson is perhaps the most deep, since he was a veteran of the disaster of Kasserine Pass, with Turner being an amazing leader. Although the campaign was far from accurate, and not as authentic as I would have liked, the story was good enough that I looked past all that, for the most part. If the campaign was a bit longer, and had some DLC/Expansion pack alongside MP and Zombies, then I think the campaign would have been the goat. Multiplayer was fun, but as you said, restrictive. the HQ was my favorite part about the game, as I could interact with other players, mess around with the killstreaks, test out my accuracy, and more. one of my favorite modes was Dogfights, and War was a decent mode. However, Dogfights only had two maps and two planes. And War, while fun, just couldn't hook me. the maps themselves weren't too bad, but we just needed more. perhaps my biggest issue of the game was the loot boxes. As Act Man showed and stated in his review, you got the same nonsense, only a different name to it. Zombies was definitely the worst part about this game. The zombies themselves looked amazing. they looked broken, bloody, and dead. the giant Frankenstein monster on the launch map also looked amazing, with so many dead bodies molded together. However, it had the same issues the multiplayer. And the story was balls. All in all, if the game had more time and support, better leadership, and balls, then I think it could have been the goat. It is a decent game, but needed more.

Where was there forced diversity? The only person I can think of in the game that was diverse was Howard and that was reasonable as Black Americans did fight in WW2. If anything I remember ign saying that the game wasn't diverse enough and people were roasting them for that.

This COD is probably one of the best in the modern era of COD, behind BO3 of course but once the Devs really nailed this game, boy did they nail it. It’s still the only modern COD I go back and replay apart from BO3. Plus, the guns are absolutely awesome to use, especially if you’re a fan of WW2 history.

I had no idea they fixed the game, at release I didn't like the divisions, I gave it some time and then decided to free the space from my system. I'm gonna have to give it another play through if the servers are still active

I liked WW2. That perk they added kind of late to the game Wunderwaffen or whatever made the game so much fun. Pressing swap weapon gave you a random weapon with random attachments made online different and fun constantly switching weapons after every kill or reload. War mode was kind of toxic at first with the grenade spam and people just farming for kills to get camos but it got better over time.

as i’ve commented on a community post, i have nostalgia of playing ww2 during 2017-2018 with my brother and we had a ton of fun, so i really liked ww2, zombies was definitely lacking, but god the campaign was good

I think this COD was fun, the campaign brought me back to Big Red One, WAW (final fronts included) and Finest Hour but I was hoping they would add another theater of war. Certainly not the best WWII-era COD but enjoyable regardless. I borrowed Vanguard from my local public library so I spent 0 $$$ on that game because I wanted to try it out. Hated it. After playing Vanguard, I still felt robbed lmao

This game had a lot of potential. Ruined by greed from activision. I loved the story and the slower more mature pace. I had the gtx 1080 during this time and I was blown away by the graphics

I'd honestly settle with this than Vanguard. The campaign of this game is just an outstanding story telling. I know it's not your typical COD campaign, the dark tone and all. But I can't help but love the fact it shows the value of brotherhood in the heat of war. All I can say is, the campaign of CODWWII really did all the carrying in this one.

There's no suppression, campaign is good and no 10 attachments. No game should reward missing shots, have a regurgitated avengers-like/quirky team of ss+ ultra top tier soldiers with no character in a fanfiction of the tragedy of WW2, no swastikas nor flag imagery allowed in a ww2 game and the grindiest progression sytem in the entire franchise. WW2 was flawed and misunderstood. Vanguard has no redeeming qualities, only the mw2019 movement and even that isn't worth it because 90% of the maps aren't designed for it. Hell, even MWII slow ass movement isn't hindered by the maps unlike Vanguard.

this was way better than vanguard in my opinion

This is the game that got me and the homie to start playing online again, then that ultimately led to blackout and Warzone for us years later

I loved this cod. It got me back into cod after all the jet pack games

My dad and I like the story mode because it reminds us of brothers in arms or the pacific tv shows with the brothers feel to it it. if you hate it I’m not bothered My bad band of brothers show

After quitting call of duty in 2013 this is the game that brought me back it was during the plandemic i started to play this game and i loved it .loved everything about it and this video makes sense to why i liked it everything was already fixed when i started playing.

this was my favorite cod ever, the mp was so fun and the campaing was amazing. thanks for making this

ngl cod ww2's campaign is honestly one of my favorites and i think its underrated. i may just be a history nerd, but i legit got attached to those characters lol. there was great surprises, like when turner died. it shows the brutal reality of war; there one moment, gone the next. i also like the aspect of the sneaking stuff. like when you had to sneak inside the nazi building at paris to switch out a briefcase to explode the gates. i will be honest, i think the rhine battle could have been a little better, but it was still good. again, thats just my opinion 👍

This was my favorite CoD ever, definitely deserved much more attention. In my opinion, The multiplayer was alright, I liked the classes and customizations and stuff, and it was simple, but there was something that just made it ok and not good, but the story was really good and the zombies was one of the best zombies I had ever played. I have so much memories, hopping on with my friend and killing a bunch of zombies and running around and coordinating. Truly the peak of my childhood, besides Fortnite (I know) and red dead redemption 2.

UHM Uplink was also in Advanced Warfare the year before bo3 was released

Mw2 is the worst in series! And mw3 will be even worst... fortnite warfare 😢

i only saw the trailer and its gives me flashback toward cod 3 and world at war on ps2, i wonder if this game were as good as those game? last cod game i played were world at war on pc many year ago and its kinda suprised me that its different game from the ps2 version

I remember staying up all night grinding the color weapons on shipment also playing zombies I tried playing it today it’s sad people just leave teams are never full on shipment and zombies

I just beat the campaign again in WW2. The game is underrated.

i loved this game. This was the first game where i was good at cod, i played a ton of war mode, the dog fights were awesome, it was super helpful having a firing range where you could practice with your killstreaks, the campaign was such a heavy hitter that i keep going back to it and the social hub was really fun. This game wasnt perfect but i wouldnt rank in low in an all inclusive cod game tier tier list.

this was one of my favorite call of duty games, the multiplayer and weapons were unmatched

6:25 kinda like Battlefield 1 , want shotguns and smgs, play assault, want to use rifless and mid range rifles, medic, want lmgs and infinite ammo? Support .....want to play as a sniper, scout class

This campaign was a masterpiece. The Vanguard campaign was so messy and ridiculous.

The original United offensive are my absolute favorite games. If they simply expanded the United defensive and to more maps and more servers that they would have had a tremendous hit

Idk why, but i somehow grinded this game more than i did MW3 back in the old days. WW2 weren't all bad, it had some good features, decent maps, guns and free unlockable skins for both charecters and guns. The prestige way i didnt like too much, it were kinda weird, and hated that you litterally had to walk around to get new items.

I Loved it! I grew up playing original cod 2 on Xbox 360 so ww2 shooters are really sentimental

This game was by far my personal favorite. I damn near spent more time in the 1v1 area as compared to the game, so when I would enter HQ my name would be on top lmao
