Damon, this video is literally showing people how to handle an accident. You definitely showed compassion and empathy towards the young kid that hit you. When you think about it yelling and fighting doesn’t solve anything. This is why so many people respect you man!

For what he did, yes he handled it well, really well. Better than most would have. But then everyone needs to get out of the road. If everyone is good and safe get back in your vehicles and help keep traffic moving and let the police do their job instead of playing guessing games when you were 15 cars back and just want to be a part of it. If it didn’t involve you and everything is good then don’t make the situation more dangerous.

You know what, that video just made me subscribe to the channel. I only really knew you guys through JWW as the screaming Lambo-guys, but the way you handled that unfortunate situation and especially the message at the end to not go after the kid, that´s a class act and deserves a lot of respect nowadays! How a man handles himself in a situation like this says a lot about who he is deep down. I always thought these guys were a bit "loud" - but after seing this I tip my hat to Damon. As long as the rear subframe is ok it should be an easy repair on paper, it just needs a new bumper, quarter panel and the whole right rear suspension, the custom paint job will be a bitch to redo but it seems to be fixable. It all depends upon whether the insurance company wants to rebuild it or not.

That poor boy crying at the end just broke my heart. He new he messed up but didn´t try to blame anybody else, good for him. @@jennatolls904 exactly, although we don't know the young man's financials so this is purely speculation(but most likely) he doesn't have the insurance limits to cover the repair or totaling cost of the McLaren, meaning the insurance companies will likely go after him for the difference leading to long-standing debt or bankruptcy. This is going to be a very long and very hard lesson for him to recover from.

It's ain't easy running this channel. Constant trials and tribulations, hurdles, obstacles, headaches, whatever you wanna call it. I've said by before, I'll say it again: my utmost respect goes to Damon, Dave, everyone part of DDE, especially the families. My heart sank when I saw the thumbnail. DDE took us with them along the 720gtr journey so its hitting hard. But like Damon always says, it's just a car. 💔

This was a insanely unfortunate situation. So many small mistakes happening by multiple people which made an accident happen. You breaking so hard and him wanting to keep up:D

If you decided to drive over six figure on roads because you can afford means whatever his insurance can cover and daemons will have to add to addition. Very grateful that nobody was hurt. Even more grateful to see the maturity of Damon’s reaction. We all know he loves the 720GTR, but he also understands what really matters at the end of the day. I asked if it would effect my insurance and they said no since i was not at fault, and it never went up

The fact that he’s not even really worried about his car and he’s worried about it. If the other people are OK this is amazing.

I think what happened with the young guy was that the shock of what happened wore off and all of his emotions came out. He's definitely not a malicious guy, just made a mistake and mistakes happen.

Hes crying because he knows his insurance is going to skyrocket after being stupid and rear ending a very expensive car . He will also be lucky if he doesnt get sued..theres mistakes which are unavoidable then there are things that just should not happen if people use the brains.

@@redstang70 I don't think he was being stupid, it was a blind crest and there was a black car cutting him off from the right side too and he was probably focusing on that car cutting into his lane and not paying attention to the cars braking ahead of him.

That’s in the editing, wait until the car gets written off. His emotions will change. I’m 100% sure he’s pissed off, he barely even drove that car in its current stage. It spent most of its time getting built only to be wrecked. Shit he must be used to having cars get wreaked by now.

Everyone wants to think that way, but in reality I'd be mad asf because it's a really expensive car and it took so much time for it to be done. Just for a f**kin r3t@rd wants to show off or catch up and hits the back of my car because he is not paying attention to what's happening.

Wow man. This is an absolute shame. I am glad everybody was okay, but it is still so unfortunate that this happened so soon after getting the car on the road. Hopefully it is not gone for too long and we see it back on the channel again soon.

Respect Damon for protecting the kid. The One thing that stood out was that you could hear and see that the kid felt extremely sorry. Glad you both ok

Not surprise at how chill Damon is... but im always impressed by his attitude to life and material things... I know he's upset about the accident but life is the greatest thing here... happy everyone is OK... though I still would suggested getting a checkup...

I agree with getting a check up if for no other reason everything is on medical record. In my vehicle I got hit crushed and dragged a couple hundred feet up against a concrete highway divider by a tractor trailer auto hauler. When I was finally able to get out of my vehicle I felt basically OK, I went to the hospital by ambulance anyway to be checked. It was 2 days later I was back in emergency in huge pain from the high level of soft tissue damage and whip lash. It takes time for some injuries to fully be known. 5 years almost to the day and my neck and shoulders are still not the same as before the accident.

The way Damon handles the whole thing is really impressive. Really happy everyone is okay.

What you said about the other driver is very upstanding, strong, and noble. I watch this channel knowing I'll never be able to afford the cars you drive. This young man had a decent car and it was probably a great highlight in his life to be cruising with everyone. But, like NASCAR, Formula one, even not racing, these things can happen. I commend you for this level of understanding and hope that young man rebuilds his car, learns and moves forward. In pilot talk we call it situational awareness. Not blaming the young man is very very honorable. Thanks guys.

Damon, after seeing this video and how cool and calm you were at the confrontation with the guy that sledge hammered your window, I have so much respect for you. I get heated pretty quickly so I will try to do better. Much respect to you, brother.

Damon, you set a great example for everyone. I can’t say how I would react if I were in this situation but this is exactly what I would aspire to be. Glad everyone is safe.

Damon is an example of what being really Humble is all about, “it’s just a car/Material”, “I can build another one”, love it!!
