I'm still upset that the Pledge of Allegiance includes the words "under God." They were added in the 1950's when the U.S. was fighting a Cold War not against Communism, but "Godless Communism." I grew up as an atheist (I'd call myself agnostic now) and always felt that the inclusion of "under God" in the Pledge of Allegiance told me I was never going to be anything more than a second-class citizen.

MTG is why stereotypes against southern people exist. When I go to Georgia all I meet are nice people and people that get along, so I know it's mostly bullshit. But she is so unflinchingly desperate for attention and laser-focused on being unproductive and stealing money from citizens by wasting time while she collects a salary that is makes her naturally grating voice abominable.

I agree, However we said the pledge every morning at school for our entire school history. I don't think they even do that anymore, and I am not certain my grandkids know the pledge.. I plan to ask them next time tho!
