These were all seriously creepy, indeed! Cheers to the girl from the first one for telling her story. Hopefully, some teenager who is in a similar situation will hear it and get themselves out before it goes that far. We all make stupid decisions over our very young hearts and hormones. I’m just glad it ended like it did, instead of with someone finding her body later. It’s cold and dreary here in Fouke, Arkansas. We had a few snow flurries yesterday and into this morning, but thankfully, nothing stuck. I’m sooooo ready for spring! 😊

Agreed- that first story is definitely one of those that needs to be out there as a PSA. It definitely could have ended worse, and I am so glad that it didn't. As for the weather... cold...lots of cold. We got about 6ish inches of snow here, and it all stuck... it's all still there :) I love winter... I just wish it would snow more!

It'll never not mystify me how teens won't listen to what their parents say but will listen to what a stranger (i.e., predator) says. The parents have spent their whole lives taking care of them (outside of abusive households), while the predator just gave them some empty compliments. The human brain is amazing.

These guys are creeps and I'm glad the ganiter went to jail and the tech guy is a crazy man . Talk about a few lose screws in his head . Thanks for these story's

So, I listen to a lot of these stories... A lot. It really breaks my heart how people call themselves "dumb" and "stupid" for putting themselves, or being put, in these horrifying situations. Thing is, they aren't dumb. They weren't dumb at the time. Mostly, they were naive and they were children. That is a devastating handicap when you are dealing with a situation utterly outside of anything your life and experience has prepared you for. Children use the rational they are handed, not just by their parents, but by their peers, media, experiences, education, and mental development. There's a lot of social subtext around morality, relationships, and personal value that people are expected to decipher without actual and explicit conversation. It is a confusing grey-area that is primed for misunderstanding, manipulation and exploitation. Add to that, a lot of children face a great deal of pressure from parents to be polite to adults and respect authority. From peers, there is pressure to fit in and to show one's value and signifiers of adulthood in relationships. There's a lot of conflict in these drives. To a predator, it's an easy opportunity.

I will never understand people who don't want to press charges. I don't care how sad, pathetic and remorseful someone seems after the cops get involved. Those people were perfectly ok assaulting, stalking, stealing, etc. before they got caught and they'll most likely do it again if they face no consequences.
