At around 46:00 you talk about 4 factors for jack knife one is under power. What do you mean by that? Also what does interlock do and when do you use it? I am a 63 year old rookies trying to lean as much as I can this first winter. Thanks

@@AlbertMaruggi under power means heavy on the throttle. the more throttle you give the easier it is for your tires to spin........interlocking makes both of your drive axles get power you should use it when ever you think one axles isn't going to get enough grip to deep you moving forward .and try to interlock them before you need it after might be to late

I once drove for over 13 hours on packed snow and ice covered roads, from southern Michigan all the way into the U.P. of Michigan. I was driving a pickup truck, I couldn’t imagine driving an 18 wheeler that distance on snow covered roads. It literally took my body 24 hrs to feel normal again. I don’t know if it was from the stress or the vibration from washboard ice covered roads, but I definitely did not feel right. Thank you for what you do moving commerce across the country safely!

You my friend are one of the most skilled big truck drivers I've had the pleasure in getting to know Mike.. thanks to your great attitude and seeing the need for young drivers to learn from. Please keep up the outstanding work in making these videos the sucess they have become throughout the industry. You're proof to as why the DOT's are so strick on their drivers because they know how good they can drive, if taken the effort. The biggest fault of most accidents, I believe, is their speed and willingness to give back the ownership of the highways and byways to the four-wheelers.. just give them plenty of room, they're going to take it anyway. Thanks..

One of the best tools you have while driving in snow is your ears. You can hear the road conditions change under your tires, your engine rpms if you slip, and other clues as to what is going on. Too many people run down the road with the music blaring and their attention focused elsewhere and wind up in the ditch.

Man I just love your vids, the summer ones contain such stunning scenery and your camera quality is so professional, but your winter one's are by far the best, the way you deal with the conditions and idiot drivers is amazing how you keep your cool is beyond me, as I was shouting at my TV telling those other drivers to move 😄 I was totally stressed 😄😄😄🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
