I broke the customers truck 🤦🏻‍♂️

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

I knew I should back off, but I decided to give one more little pull and it backfired on me. Luckily the owner of the truck was really cool about it and even though I offered to pay for a new fairing, he said just no charge on the winch out was plenty.
But aside from that little mistake, I was very impressed with how well my truck and the ‪@zackliftinternational4841‬ stayed still and pulled that loaded truck and trailer straight sideways back onto the road!

I had a couple of rollbacks. My most experienced driver let a antique RR i wouldn't haul if i didn't know the owner well, get away it hit a tree dented left rear fender it had just been painted. I was so scared to tell owner. He looked and said my bodyman can fix it take it back to him. I said omg there goes my savings. Bodyman puled dent buffed it out. I got my check book out. Owner said mistakes happen said you owe me nothing, i owe you and paid for to tow. unbelievable good man ..RIP TOM

I really like the number of big rig recoveries we have been getting to see lately. BTW, you might not have changed for that one, but you're still making money from it.

I'm just thinking of the comment when you got the first got the Zacklift and someone said it wasn't a real heavy duty tow truck. Then you go and drag the rear end of the loaded truck sideways.

Went you hook the rims hook very bottom that gives you more lift even 1in. can make a big difference...

Maybe try using two rim slings on opposite sides with one hook, To keep the pressure off of the steering and king pins and keep the tire from spinning like it did on you

First of all, wind your window down before the tow truck operator has to tell you, and second, when they tell you to hold the wheel and dont let it move....hold the dang wheel, and third, its amazing how many people he has to instruct to lock in the power divide

I know you say you are not good at what you do, but that was a huge rookie move...you never let the winch line touch the vehicle, especially plastic parts, and it's cold on top...makes it very brittle

A suggestion with the rim-sling... you could put it in & out of two holes at the top, then in & out of another two holes at the bottom, such that the free ends are through holes that are directly opposite to each other. That way you're pulling from the center of the wheel (on average), and there's much less chance of spinning it. There's twelve holes, so if you number them like a clock: Go into "12", out of "11", then into "7" and out of "6". You'd then be pulling on both the 12 o'clock & 6 o'clock positions.
