I'm a veteran trucker of 19 yrs. I don't have an issue with the blitz. These trucks are dangerous and I never have nor never will get relaxed while driving them. We are supposed to be professional, right? We should be adhering to all of the things that she's talking about in the video anyway. Now if D.O.T. pulls you over and harasses you and makes up something to ticket you for, that's different. Stay professional and stay safe.

As a driver my tip would be do most of your traveling at night most scales are closed less traffic cooler temps better fuel mileage and tire wear easy to find a spot in the morning when your out of time for your 10 break ❤

Unloaded today and headed for the house. Sitting here now laying low till the storm passes 😂 I take off every yr. Damn the DOT Money blitz.

I just wanted to clarify on one topic that the majority or driver's don't know what it is or don't know how to test as CDL school's don't teach it but it is in our knowledge test. The tractor protection valve, as she indicated, DOT will make sure it's not leaking, but how do you test it? They will chock your tire's, have you disengage both, truck and trailer brakes, have you step out, disconnect the supply glad hand (the red one) and it'll start releasing air. The trailer protection valve is supposed to pop (the red nob) at around 80psi however DOT is allowing a threshold of 20psi and up to 45psi. Once it pop's they will be checking to ensure no air is leaking through the gladhand, then they will have you apply your service brake while they listen, feel for air leaks from the gladhand. It's primary function is if, for some god od reason you forgot to double check the jaws on the 5th wheen and your driving along and the trailer detaches the tractor protection valve is supposed to engage so you don't lose all your air. Sorry for being so long. I just wanted to make sure driver's that didn't know or understand how to test it know. Truck on 🤙🏽

@JavierRamirezLive that's where DOT doesn't specify. I've done both, in my own personal time. And either way the protection valve should still engage under the same psi as it would with engine off. Great question btw 🤙🏽

Not a trucker but I enjoyed your video. In Texas there are lots of three lane roads with signs stating No Trucks in Left line. Many truckers ignore the signs and drive in the left lines blocking traffic. It wouldn't be so bad if the trucks were driving fast enough to get around slower vehicles fast, but some stay in the fast line several miles blocking traffic. Sometimes time when trucks clear the slower vehicle an impatient car driver will jump over in the center lane to pass the truck before the truck driver can safely move to the center lane. Great presentation, and I enjoyed the fast ride through Pennsylvania again. Happy Mother's Day to your Mother and Grandmother and enjoy your time with family. God bless you and keep you safe. ❤

Ok I have been in this game for 35 years. Over 4 million miles of accident free driving. It’s real simple… If you’re a true professional at any job you do, you have nothing to worry about. You can get a level one anytime of the year.

30 plus yrs veteran and it’s this new gen of drivers who get behind the wheel and drive 80,000 lbs like they’re driving a car are the reason we have the blitz’s professionalism is nonexistent in this industry anymore

It’s wild out there, I have seen a few trucks get pulled over. Not just that, a lot of truck accidents have been happening the past few weeks. I have seen a lot of trucks flipped over, especially on i90, two back to back accidents one trucker flipped, and just 3 miles ahead, a truck was parked on the shoulder with a 4 wheeler smashed into the back of the trailer, that SUV was completely destroyed and probably didn’t make it. Stay safe out there ya’ll!

Thank you for this video? I came across it last night. I've been driving for over thirty years so a couple of things caught my ear. There is not a statue in the DOT regs that says you have to wear close toed shoes. You could drive barefoot and it would still be legal. That goes for four wheelers as well. Concerning load bars and straps in dry vans and reefer units, no straps or bars are required if loaded to the gills. I'm surprised her DOT friend didn't mention that they would also be focusing on illegal substances such as alcohol and illicit drugs. I've only had two inspections since starting driving. The first was in 1996 in NC. Even back then I ran with my headlights on and apparently one went out. This was a daytime stop mind you. She decided to do a full inspection. She didn't even bother to look at my logs because she knew she would be wasting her time. If only she knew! 😁 I tidied up that thing REAL quick. The only time I got off the truck was to change my headlight out, which she was shocked I had one with me. At the time I drove a Freightliner cabover condo. Back then you changed the entire headlight unit. Easy peasy. Because I had that on board I received no tickets and a clean bill. I was wearing flip flops btw. My second was last year in Georgia for just a level one. No biggie. I was wearing Tevas that time. The reason they gave for stopping me is because my company's score had gone down. The rumor mill said it was because the company that recently acquired us had diluted our score. I personally believe it was because the company was putting out drivers that didn't know how to properly pre AND post trip. I do not drive during Blitz week. Things get too personal out there with the inspectors and they are allowed to fudge the lines at their discretion. I can't be bothered with that BS. Once again, I'm loving the content and keep up the good work!!

Vacation great this week

This week it’s the truck drivers. In a few weeks they will be going after the armed robberies and violent crimes such as shootings and homicides, and also…..oh wait, never mind. Real police work only involves going after truck drivers😀

From what I’m hearing they are checking your safety valve on the tractor. It’s the valve that’s supposed to kick in on the tractor if the airlines disconnect
