Trout Fishing the most INCREDIBLE water I've ever seen!! || North Georgia Trout Pt. 1

NORTH GEORGIA PART 1 - Georgia isn't really known for its trout fishing. However the Appalachian mountain range reaches as far south as Georgia and has some of the most beautiful water I've ever fished. North Georgia is the farthest south that trout can survive in the Southeast of America. These mountains are full of brown trout, rainbow trout, and brook trout (the only trout native to the area).
In this video we explore new creeks in search of some wild rainbow trout but struggle during a cold front. With snow falling and temperatures dropping into the 20's the fish shut down. We persevered and were able to catch a handful of trout on the fly. I hope you enjoy following along on our first ever trout fishing adventure in North Georgia!

I live in Rome and love North Georgia fishing. I will say you have to trout fish seasonally, the natural browns are beyond hard to trick. The little brooks are ab all you can get until stock. I like yall getting up stream and showing the hike in.

This is what a regular wild water outing looks like in N.GA/Western NC....Incredibly beautiful waters, challenging terrain, tiny gems...one really has to work for the hidden wild ones. I have fished lower watersheds in NC similar here to what HFA homewater in WV looks like and never seen the likes of those giant browns ya'll are pulling out of those muddy creeks! Ya'll have got some untapped nutrient rich waters up there! Cool to see ya'll checking out the difference in local zones...Its all in the spirit of adventure though catching a fish keeps me going back.

Everything I witnessed here was exceptionally beautiful, clear clean water, deep pools & falls, so many pockets for trout to hold in. Almost identical twin to Rock Run Crick, Lycoming co. The next vid I titled “redemption” for a reason! But I think we started to figure them out. Just took a few days out there to get a lay of the land. We’re going to be making many more trips to sort of follow up to these first 2 videos

You guys ought to get a couple wading staffs for those deep crossings, they're worth it!

Honestly didn’t know what I was getting into when I hiked into that gorge. Of course I also don’t own a wading staff... definitely something to consider. Thanks for watching!

Beautiful video, looks like a strenuous experience! I know you guys didnt have trouble sleeping at night! Lol. But still nothing like trying virgin waters! I know you had to work for those fish, but still was worth the trip!

I regularly fish North Georgia and I love it, especially when I get the limit. Not the greatest trout fisher and I keep it wal mart simple. Treacherous terrain and steep climbing combined with the body's resistance to the current is the perfect recipe for soreness the next day or two. Lol

Good to have some local knowledge. I've never really worked that hard for a trout. Mostly just have to weave through heavy brush.

A rock climbing video with some trout fishing 🎣. Really though I totally applaud your effort...honestly fishing the way it is 90% of the time. You have got to go through it to get to them.
