Troublant Bolero with Bireli Lagrene
Музыка
Troublant Bolero (By Django Reinhardt), concert in Israel, Nov 11, 2019.
Bireli Lagrene - Guitar
Yaakov Hoter - Guitar
Alon Sagi - Guitar
Oren Sagi - Double Bass
Listen to the atmosphere Bireli creates in his intro and the beautiful way he plays the melody. It sets the tone for the entire performance and inspired me to incorporate that same feel into my own solos. It's a perfect example of how music serves as a powerful form of communication. Even without a single rehearsal, we effortlessly support each other's solos through our accompaniment.
By the way, this is one of the key topics we focus on in my upcoming retreat in Italy: how to make your music sound beautiful by emphasizing active listening and utilizing your existing skills in a musical manner.
Because, in the end, isn't that what we all desire? To truly enjoy the music we play:)

Thank you!
Magic. The glorious sounds and colors - so evocative of so many emotions and flavours! The rhythm section is like a subtle bedrock underpinning Biréli's solo canvas. Wish I Were There!

nicely done. yaakov.
Very nice. Very complex.
I wish I had all of Bireli’s knowledge of substitutions and scales over chords

I don't think that substitutions and scales over chords is what makes music beautiful. It's how you use it. And you can create beautiful music with much simpler skills :)
Yaakov and Birelli - ❤ … by the way Israel is a beautiful country. March 2023 first time there - shalom
