i saw him at Markdorf, Lake Konstanz when him and me were about twelve years old....long time ago ... my parents took me there and i was absolutely fascinated by him and his dad and uncle playing their guitars.

I don’t know for certain what device he is using but the EHX Freeze pedal could be a possibility. Whatever he’s using, it’s gorgeous and he’s using it to great effect (no pun intended) 😀

He plays the chord and hits the sample and hold pedal which sustains the sample until he presses the pedal again. I'm sure that many will leap to defending him when I say that that's a real disappointment for me 😢
