I was born in the 70s here in Florida, never directly dealt with a hurricane, the reminiscent of several though

The water is the killer! Take precautions for high waters and flash flooding regardless of the wind speed.

It isn’t forecast to hit Jamaica. The west side is the weaker side. There will be possible rain and winds and big waves in Jamaica.
