Welcome back Tropical Tidbits. Hopefully, you don't have much to talk about this hurricane season 👍🙄

My guess is we'll see a lot wandering from TD Three/Cristobal before it's drawn north, and possibly northeast. The TX/LA border historically is what we'd usually see from this kind of system. Landfall further east, while not impossible, doesn't look likely now. I'm just hoping enough moisture gets entrained that we see some of it in Alabama. It's been hot and dry here.

The best time of year is when I get to watch these!

It is just convention that when a tropical storm passes over tall mountains and reforms a low-level circulation on the other side, it is considered a new storm.
