@christinamainoli3033 The largest living organism on earth is a stretch of Quaking Aspen in Fish Lake National Forest. Sevier County, Utah.
I can't begin to know how to judge these. It's clear that much love and dedication was invested in each of these.
Does anyone else imagine little stop-motion characters running around these pieces of art?
The only thing missing is a narrative of the facts about these beautiful trees.type,age,etc.

the amount of hours of work put on these tables is incomprehensible 😮
You know that each and every one of these are old. The time and attention to detail that has been put into creating these masterpieces is well thought out. These are absolutely incredible would seriously like to know the age of these and the methods used to make these into what they currently are.
I respect the art of Bonsai tree 🌳 artist. They really pay attention to detail.

Wow it's like a tangible piece of your very own fairy tale setting.
Ryan Niel has, in my opinion, changed bonsai for the better since starting his garden Mirai. With his online Mirai Live platform (that i was able to be a part of since 2018, started it in 2017), he revolutionized the hobby in so many ways and now with his app, has once again revolutionized the way in which we can practice our hobby at the highest level no matter who you are, where you live, or finances. The bonsai hobby is not cheap, but even someone in ny shoes that live paycheck to paycheck, can very much enjoy this beautiful artform and do it at the highest level I can, and thanks to Ryan and his awesome team at Bonsai Mirai, my trees have truly elevated in the last 6 years to a point i never thought possible. Very much looking forward to seeing what Ryan does at the trophy next year. It can only be extraordinary!!!

Truly amazing ! Wish I could see them in person, but since the video is very well made, we can still appreciate their beauty
Lots of inspiration to be had!
It is a strikingly elegant and beautiful presentation of plants. It is a high end form of art that everyone can see. It's ancient but lively. From design, to training, and keeping, a bonsai is a treasure that takes many years to form and last hundreds of years. It is a celebration of plant life and human life. Bonsai was developed in ancient China when China had the best economy. Neighbor Japan has been a keen learner who inherited a lot of China's high end heritages. Then China collapsed. The stable economy of Japan ensures such a sophisticated form of art is preserved. Then through friendship with the USA, the art and skill spread into the West, and is appreciated by many more people.
Exquisite exhibition.

I’ve never seen the little tiny ones before!
I have ambivalent feelings towards KZread algorithm. Sometimes I hate it. Sometimes I love it. This particular time with this video, I LOVE it! This just randomly appeared on my feed and I was like OHHHHH what's this about! So, can bonsai trees grow large if you allow it, or do they always stay dwarf sized? I've always been curious about that. The first prize broadleaf bonsai looks like it has a face! Seriously, right underneath the leaves that knotty part looks like eyes, nose and a mouth! I'm not the only one that sees an ent there am I? Pause it and look for a minute if you don't see it, I don't see how you couldn't. That's SO COOL! It even looks like it has a little body with a hand and the roots look like a foot! It looks like a little gnome! I am not the only person who sees this am I? And then the back part? If you look at the top of it, it resembles a reptile face like a snake or a lizard that's coiled up on the back of the gnome. I can definitely see why this tree won first prize! There is definitely some animistic something going on here.

Its to bad that we do not have Bonsai shows here in Austria (not australia) YOu would have to drive over the borders with your Trees, which includes having a plantpassport for your ree, or yu canot bring it.

Das stimmt nicht. Der Pflanzenpass wird nur beim Handel benötigt und übrigens durch den jeweiligen Betrieb selbst ausgestellt. Kein grosser Zauber, aber nicht notwendig wenn man privat Pflanzen verbringt.
How could these delicate trees be moved to an exhibition hall without being damaged?
Feel like these are all first place.

Such amazing work, just. Breathtaking. Curious, why do so many of them look “dead” and leaf-less? For ex 10:30. Like the entire tree has become “Jin” as the deadwood technique? Finally, where in Europe did the exhibition take place? Would love to go one day!
@bonsaiempire

Well it was mid winter so all deciduous trees are dormant - but yes many of the Junipers and pines have a LOT of deadwood sometimes. This event takes place every year in Belgium.
What species is the tree that flowers at 5.27?
